but why change the rear speakers? change the front ones to a high quality good sounding one. never mind the rear speakers.

I just based it from the Bass kit upgrade for the USDM Civic where they change the rear speakers and add an ampli. Also, with my EK Civic, it was the rear speakers that took care of the bass. However, I also plan to replace the front speakers eventually.

    TIA

I finally got to replace my rear speakers with a pair of JBL CS2165 2-way multi-element speakers (40W RMS, 120W Max).
Nag-DIY lang ako, installed the speakers myself. Ang nipis lang pala nung stock speakers!
Kaso, ang hina ng tunog nila. Nung una, inisip ko na baka baligtad ang polarity ng wirings ko sa I tried reversing them on 1 speaker then both pero mahina pa rin ang output. What should I do?

i think you need an amplifier.

masmalakas ang orig kase baba lang power requirement nito compared to your new speakers.

--malamang nga you'll need an ampli. Baka di nakayanan ng HU mo magsupply ng power to your speakers kaya mahina yun tunog.
