Focal 165AS ay lagpas na sa budget mo na 10k max. If check mo ang website ng mickey's your option would be DLS RS, Polk DB, Hertz ESK, Pioneer D series or Morel Maximo ultra.
Dont get too stressed out dahil halos di mo ma differentiate ang mga yan sa blind listening lalo na mga entry level prices. But I'm sure any aftermarket speakers that is installed properly with deadened doors will sound better than stock.

DLS is among the preffered brand sa SQ intalls.
* bro robot.sonic, check mo fb ni simplesound, meron siya posted budget package na crescendo speaker/amp set, inquire mo baka pasok sa budget mo.

question sir, why did you opt for a 1-DIN unit instead of a 2-DIN unit? Most mid level 2-DIN HUs ng Pioneer should be full-active capable na right? If you spend a bit more, it gets better tuning options that can make it like a mini-processor.
Anyway, the last car I fully setup was also a CRV(Gen 4). Stages I took were:
1st Stage:
Separates(Focal 165FX) and deadening(STP ata forgot, sorry old age na).
2nd Stage:
4-channel Audison SR4
Audison Bit Ten Processor
3rd Stage:
Audison SR1D Mono Amp
Focal 25a4 Subwoofer
Woodworks
4th Stage:
HU Replacement - Pioneer X8850BT
I like the step-by-step upgrade, kasi you get to appreciate each change. Yung last stage lang talaga was for CarPlay/Android Auto. Mine was installed by Simplesound.

December 20th, 2018 12:18 PM #47Makiki ride na rin ako since i'm planning for a sound setup din on my CRV... i have some old but never installed gears lying around and probably its time to use them. i would need recommendations though
HU: Currently installed Pioneer AVH-275BT
Amp: JBL GTO 1004
Sub: Polk Audio DXI 104 Dual VC 4ohms (2ps)
Wiring Kit: Kicker PK4 4 AWG Wiring Kit
I am missing seps and sub enclosure and don't even know if the subs and amp would even match... or do i need to buy a mono amp to power the subs... or buy a new sub that can be powered by the existing amp...
budget considerations: i'm not planning to spend a lot probably another 10k for seps including install, sub enclosure and hopefully deadening of the front doors
i'm not going towards loud boom boom setup. just something clear and decent. The back of the CRV is often full due to frequent out of town trips so a small sub enclosure is preferred and I don't have to use both subs i can let go of the other one if needed. Thanks

Since boom-boom is not your thing and looks like space is priority then 2 sub enclosure is out of the equation na. Probably a sealed enclosure?
Your amp is 100x4 rms and kahit bridge pa ang 2 channels kapos parin sa rating ng sub not to mention 4ohm lang and your sub is dual 4ohm so either 2 or 8ohm lang option dyan. Meaning need mo ng dedicated mono amp.
10k for seps, enclosure i think kasya if you get some jbl or infinity seps and ctk deadeners. But if isama ang labor baka mabitin ang 10k na budget mo but I might be wrong about sa cost of labor dahil puro lang ako DIY.
