Again, Google. Hahaha.. madami ka makukuhang answers just by searching. I find the forum thread in Steve's site to be very well constructed (How To Do The Big 3: Tutorial - Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring - SMD Forum).

For the wires, just use 4GA. Or you can go overkill and go for a bigger one (2, 1, 0GA) though it isn't necessary.
