Stock speaker po is design only on the stock head unit power, so if you add only amplifier, you will powering those speakers, then the result is mas ok ang tunog nun kesa dati, problema, limitado pa rin po yung stock speaker * certain frequency response since it built only to sound as stock. Meron po akong ginawa na ganyan, toyota innova, nagpalit ng head unit na pioneer, then meron din sya isang amp(4channel) at isang sub, so ang ginawa ko, inamplify ko yung harap na speaker para naman umangat konti yung mid range nya and yung sub, set ko yung cut off frequency sa 80hz ng head unit para sa front speaker, ayun, di na basag, distortion lang talaga if you turn the volume up to 2/3 ng head unit. Mas maganda, palitan mo na din yung stock speaker for at least 50watts rms or kung anu bagay sa amp mo, sayang ang power e, Morel Maximo seps, kung naghahanap ka ng malinaw na mura, tested na to simula pa e, kahit wala kang sub ok na, i installed it on monterosport 2011 last monday, the best, kasabay ng superb installation..

Your sub would be fine as long as you put a subsonic filter in it. Having it play from 20hz to something like 150hz and it still would be healthy. However, most people cut it at 80hz.
The "DB" is the slope. Normally in increments of 6: 6db, 12db, 18db, etc. Slope, in a nutshell, dictates how "strict" your amplifier is in its cutoff. The steeper/higher the slope is, the more faithful it is to the cutoff. For starters, set everything at 12db.
With regards to SQ or SPL (boom boom), that depends on your definition on what SQ is. Most people define SQ in EMMA or IASCA standards: proper soundstage, tonal accuracy, spectral balance, etc. But in layman's terms, just adjusting the subwoofer amplifier's gain would probably dictate the bass "boom". Less gain = SQ. More gain = SPL.
Well looks like they're gonna make it easier na to transfer ownership. Timely since I need to...
