For starters, I think:

1. A good 10-15k set of component front speakers/tweeters
2. Deadening - ~5k
3. New Head unit

Unless you play your music very loud, I think most people will be happy with #1 and #2 palang.

If you're past #3, look into adding an amplifier and a sub.

Personal disclosure, hanggang #1 lang ako usually; #3 when the stock unit dies.

i went for #1 and #2 and i'm happy with it. no need for a subwoofer as well as the lows are enough with my listening preference.

it's only lately that i am thinking of going to upgrade to #3 as i need a good bluetooth connectivity and music streaming functionality.
