Is anyone here using Focal Flax speakers (2way) either the 165F or 165FX? Baka pwedeng ma audition kahit 5mins (need to listen to 2 songs lang).

I'm choosing between the Focal 165f and the Helix p62c. (It will be powered by Helix G5 and DSP.2)


Sana may ma audition ako soon as I will have my installation most probably early next week. (by simplesounds)

sa wattage, its better to have a higher rated speakers than ampli. its true na you would run the risk of overdriving your speakers kung higher ang ampli sa speakers. lower the ampli na lang na gagamitin para hindi power hungry yung setup. yung akin, gamit ko 300 RMS 500 peak watt amp lang pero filing ko higher than rated kasi nasira una ko set ng seps. hehe

Actually it is the other way around. It is safer to have a higher amp rating than the drivers to avoid clipping and burn your drivers. This is a basic rule in car audio even in home hi-fi.

Bossing, I am using the 165FX powered by Audison. Sa subdivision lang ako sa tapat ni Simplesound during weekends.

Any audison sr5 and hertz hcp5 amp users here? Price is almost the same( sr5 is more expensive by 2k). Is there a big difference in terms of sound char. I think the hcp5 is 1500w and sr5 is 530w. Will use to power mille pro and es250 sub. TIA

I use an SR4 + SR1D, which is almost the same. Audison sounds dark. If you are familiar with how the seps sound, then you can decide if it will match. Otherwise, the safest route is to go straight Hertz.

Ok thanks sir. As of now, the mille pro is powered by the stock oem radio. Coming from Morel, highs are brighter but not harsh naman. Will see again once I decide on what amp to get.

Audison's dark sound signature should match well then with the Mille Pro. Similar with Focal, with their aggressive highs that gets neutralized by Audison.

Try tuning first before spending. If clarity problema baka naka push yung gain ng mataas, which invites more distortion. If the gain is set low and panget pa din clarity, then it's the amp.
Then which AVH model do you have? There are some HUs that can do Network Mode or what we commonly call Full-Active. That is another way that can put more control in your tuning. Mas maganda if you can join one of the EBs of SQ Manila, so our audio gurus can audition your ride and give advice on what's needed to be changed or upgraded.

Goodmorning sirs..i think this would help to other audio set up beginners (like me). I have some converted music videos for pioneer avh 595bt (hindi ko lang po alam kung magplay sya sa other pioneer HU) in higher audio and video bit rate..most of my converted music videos are as follows..boyce avenue, wish 107.5, new rnb and millennial song daw hehehe at marami pa..at still downloading at converting pa din..PM nyu lang ako kung gusto nyu magcopy..di naman siguro ako OT dito as this will also form part of the audio set up natin mga sirs hehehe..

sorry for late reply sir, divx 720x404 ang size ng video sir..depende din po kasi sa converter minsan sir mas maganda pag license kasi mamaximize mo ang specs nya even the bit rate for video and audio kaya kahit youtube lang galing mapaganda mo output ng converted files..
