DSP idol. Like our AVRs when we use a BD/DVD/media player, it has it's own DAC and it goes through our AVR. Yun lang, difference with external processors sa kotse, it does not have a pass-through option.

I am actually assuiming that the headunit of the swft has an optical out, like mine. Also, if the signal that passes through coming from the HU goes analog and then passes through the DAC of the processor. The processor's DAC will prevail.

btw mga bros sa experience nyo ba after a year of use na OK ang electricals ng auto, is it safe to say na OK na sya imod to upgrade the sound setup?

If you will have it installed from a reputable and reliable shop, i dont see anything to worry about. First thing i do with a new car is modify electricals (sound set up, lights, etc.) and i haven't had any issues so far (3 cars na so far).

When I got my new car, it only took me 3 weeks to see if anything is failing. Afterwards, I started modding the sound system. Didn't have an ounce of regret. Happy with the sound setup. Kaya upgrade na natin yan idol
