Have a budget of around 30-35k for phase1.. Could you recommend an amp, and would this sound good using the stock hu...

Toying with changing hu to a pioneer 5650 dvd player but nanghihinayang ako since bago pa yung hu... baka phase 2 na lang

Thinking of getting a jbl 5 chnl amp but installers i called are saying mag 4 way nalang. 3 installers recommended different brands, one yung gladden for 9.6k, another yung rf punch for 12k. The 3rd recommended a mosconi for less than 12k but suggested i get the focal flax 165 for 15k, pero palitan ko daw muna yung hu.

Not familiar with the gladen... any feedback on these?

Am confused... appreciate opinion kung
A. Get the focal flax and pioneer hu 5650 plus sound deadening.. (eventually get the amp plus reuse the sub)
B. Get the focal access plus ??? Amp, sound deadening and reuse thesub... ( and what amp to get)

Appreciate your thoughts. My current ride is a fd with infinity seps, jbl 4 chnl amp (gto na orange) and the boston rally sub in an oversized sealed box.

Tnx

In your case, no need to go for the 5-channel. This is because you already have an existing 4-channel amplifier so just throw in another 4-channel and you're good to go. 8-channels of amplification is more than enough for most people (even hardcore enthusiasts).

Mosconi positions themselves higher than Gladen but essentially same company lang yan. RF products are historically built like tanks and that's the reason why installers recommend them.

I'll go for A if you plan on upgrading in the future and B if you plan on stopping there na.

The first two things you should always do is: (1) change to aftermarket speakers, (2) deaden your front doors. Do these and I'll guarantee you better sound quality off the bat.

Since most of us drive our own cars, upgrade mo muna yun harap and stock muna yun likod.

Hmm.. depends. Usually I'll recommend a head unit change if hindi maganda ang head unit mo. However, most modern head units are well-built naman so my vote will go for a speaker upgrade muna.

Err.. not much familiar sa Binan (hell, taga North ako so expected..) DB Audio is formerly KID Audio. Mixed reviews sila AFAIK since there's good and bad reviews. However, madami nagsasabi they charge a hefty price. I've also heard a couple of reviews of BP-1 Car Accessories.. but I haven't heard reviews on whether it's a plus or negative. Autobisyo near Southwoods, on the otherhand, is considered expensive by many for their work. Hope that helps.
