if you want a not so expensive car audio setup try ryan audio at banawe from speakers to amplifiers all same brand and you can audition it at their store. i got mine 6 years ago and up to now it is still in my car honda city. i got from them 4 channel amp, 2 way separates and the sub sealed. front left and right amp channel separates are connected. rear l & r channel my sub speaker is connected no need to buy a powered sub speaker. setup is for sound quality. my headunit sony dvd single din from raon around 3k only with usb and sd slot + spl parametric equalizer balance the tone of my sub and separates speakers.life time free service pa kaya lang di mo naman need na yan basta tama ang kabit at wala short circuit sila naman magkabit

I'll just share my setup where it is currently being done by phases. As of now, my craving of adding a sub has been minimized after doing the following:
    1. Upgrading the front speakers to a set of speaker separates that is known to have a good midbass response(ie. Morel Tempo 6, DLS RM6.2/UP6i, Focal PS165FX etc).
    2. Install a warm sounding amp(Audison, Genesis, DLS etc.)
    3. Get deadening right(multiple layers and cover the holes)
    4. Add a processor(beef up the sinewave on the lower end)

Really happy with the outcome. A sub will boost the lower end presence, but I am satisfied with the bass I am hearing right now on this space saving setup.
