Define performance. A head unit isn't like a car where you can measure performance objectively, even if you can, you can't hear the difference between the two. You simply choose head units based on your needs. Do you need X pre-outs? Do you prefer parametric over graphic? (okay, in case you can't understand these two terms.. okay lang yan, just get the Pioneer because graphic is way easier) Do you need iPod control? (both of them has anyway)
Sorry kung konting grouchy, but the fact is that these questions are all over the internet. Head unit manufacturers such as Pioneer simply rebrands and renames their products over and over and over again. Maybe a few tweaks here and there but when it comes down to it, it's the same. It's like buying last year's model except that this year model has USB capability.. or that it has a better screen resolution.. or that maybe they changed the chassis color from silver to bronze.
