Cheapest one I found for the 8GB model on 9.9 today was about ₱5.5k on Shopee, with free shipping and voucher discount.

I think the Carlinkit Tbox Ambient (the 8GB model) is the best one available right now. Even with an inferior head unit (usual case with stock) you basically turn it into a full-fledged Android tablet.

Also if your head unit only has Apple Carplay, getting the Carlinkit basically turns it into and Android box. Vice versa is true too, if the head unit only support Android Auto, this box gives it Apple Carplay.

In addition, if your head unit has wired AA or wired Carplay only, this effectively brings wireless connectivity with it too (just expect to see some lag with audio on videos).


As this is a true Android device, the possibilities are endless when it comes to peripherals (you could connect a keyboard or a joystick to it). I can imagine running emulators on this thing and playing old Playstation or even Nintendo games (not while driving, of course).
