April 5th, 2018 12:01 PM #6591Hi, I'm a newbie here. I know that microtex nanosliq is a good QD, though one of its issues is streaking. I searched microtex's website for an alternative product and found two more QDs, namely, after wash and quick shine. I've searched this thread for these two products but it seemed that nobody mentioned it. Is anybody here already tried those products? What do you think about it? thanks.
I apologize if this is not the right thread to ask this question. Thanks.

Hi BRO, welcome to the addicting world of detailing.. “TAMANG-OC”.
Let me share to you some detailing insights that I’ve learned not just from self-experience but most of all from the detailing-Gurus whom made this thread.
The Microtex MTX NanoSliq (new name of Microtex NanoSliq), this QD is both beneficial as a CLEANER QD and a WAX BOOSTER QD. The issues of streaks in this QD has tackled down by the detailing-gurus if you back-read. Anyways as I recall, to prevent streaking to the cars paint these will do:
Spray per panel only... not the whole car panel, use only a small amount of the product like a mist or few squirts will do then wipe-on and wipe-off with a microfiber cloth.
Spray the QD to a MF cloth or into a wax applicator then gently apply and spread per panel, use an extra MF cloth to wipe-off/buff the QD residue.
Mixed it to a DISTILLED H20 with a ratio of 1:1, doing this will lessen the effect of streaks. Also a economical cost approach.
The Mictrotex MTX After Wash, a new car care solutions product line-up of Microtex. As product stated, “Use After Wash every time you wash your car to keep your car looking new. And in between waxing to maintain that slick smooth feel and deep wet-look shine you can only get from regular waxing.” IMO the product serves as a drying aid solution. It’ll make the car paint drying process fast and safe from potential paint defects like; water-marks, etch, swirls, etc. It acts as lubricant between the car paint and the drying tools to be used such as MF towel and/or Waffle Weave Towel.
Either spray it all over the panel then wipe-on / wipe-off with MF towels (IT WILL NOT STREAKS.. JUST DON’T APPLY UNDER DIRECT SUNLIGHT). And/or spray into the MF cloth and gently apply/glide over each panel follow with extra MF cloth and buff to remove excess.
The Microtex MTX Quick Shine is also a new care solution product by Microtex. This is a SPRAY WAX the fastest way to instantly give your car that freshly detailed image. As the product speak to itself, a READY TO GO WAX. Just like other competitor spray waxes, IMO.. Quick Shine contains cleaning agents, will clean/remove light dust/dirt and hides some minor paint defects. As for application of this product, either spray-mist directly to the car paint and/or spray into the MF cloth WOWO (Wipe-On/Wipe-Off).. no more wait to dry nor curing time. It will cause STREAKS if not wipe-off quickly. Longevity of its shine and protection as observed if drive daily and park at covered/shaded area, will take a week or two.
I hope these inputs may help you about the products. I may not get into deeper details.. but our detailing GURUS are there to give you much better answer regarding these.

April 6th, 2018 02:24 PM #6595I suggest you visit youtube And watch videos to learn more. Ammonyc is one channel I recommend. You will learn a lot.
For after wash I use it as a lubrication to minimize any potential scratching. Dampen your drying towel, wring out and spray after wash on it 2-3 times then wipe the water off gently. I use microtex plush mf as drying towels.
If find it streaks too much if I apply it directly but I don't use it as a wax just a lubricant. I just ordered after wash to try btw. My main drying spray is ONR.

April 6th, 2018 03:17 PM #6599When it has absorbed too much water, I wring it out and respray. Small towel so it happens maybe every panel or maybe even less. Depends on how much water you have left to dry on your car. I sheet water first, blower off water in crevices, and lastly wipe off.
