*umi001 Yeah I was trying to avoid that. I don't enjoy waiting for my stuff to arrive. I guess its either pay more locally, or pay less but wait for a month. Thanks.

Thanks sir nivraarvin, Stavros and umi001. I'd probably try the easier ones to apply first since I'm gonna do it by hand hehehe... Pag sanay na, I'd like to try out collinite. 😊

finally, i was able to try and apply yesterday the collinite 915 after doing Step 1 and 2 of Mothers. took me 5 hours to detail the whole car. Madali lang naman apply and buff basta manipis lang ang application using the foam pad na kasama. Basta lang small portions at a time or half panel wax on then wax off agad. parang mas madulas to the touch yung nano glos or mothers carnauba wax than the collinite. the durability remains to be tested. sana nga more durable as claimed to last more than one week.

It should - easy six weeks for me, before I stripped and applied a different LSP. It's also pretty easy to remove, even if you apply to the whole car, as long as you apply really thinly.

thanks * umi. noticed yesterday that after the curing period, the collinite wax made the california duster slides more easily and smoothly than with the nano glos or mothers carnauba wax. seems the extra cost is really worth it. will apply the nano glos this weekend to top off the collinte and see what effect it will have.

does the mothers' carnauba cleaner wax needs curing time?

Kakapagod! :-)
Anong product/s kaya na matatanggal swirl without damaging the clear coat? Thanks!

Kung by hand di talaga matatanggal sir, pero kung gagamitan natin ng rotary, for sure mafi-fill up yung swirls ng paint niyo.

There have been lots of road reblocking here in our place and andaming talsik ng semento ng paint ko particularly doon sa part na tinatalsikan ng putik ng tires. I had no choice but kutkutin sya kaysa mas tumagal pa.

Sometimes, if the cement hasn't had time to completely set, soaking in vinegar (acetic acid) can help soften the cement enough that a pressure wash will remove it. I've read that you can also use WD40 to help loosen the cement bond. There's a product sold in the US, a cement dissolver that various people on the different detailing forums have used to good effect, but I've not found anything similar over here (I've done a bit of research, reading up and have had some actual experience on this recently, if you've read my thread on PD ). Otherwise, you'll have to use physical force to remove them - using your finger or a plastic razor blade.

What's the name of the thread sir umi? Thanks for the inputs. Naalala ko bigla may dumi pa pala yung kotse and I have to wash it baka may semento na namang nadikit. Good thing I just waxed with 476 last Saturday.

1, 2, 3 or 4 (Synwax contains cleaners that will remove some, if not all of the glazing oils of #2), then 5 and/or 6 (you can use both, but I'd probably use just one).

It's my got into an accident thread. And yes, having a good LSP helps keep the cement from adhering too much.

Non-abrasive products will not remove scratches and swirls - they will only hide them temporarily, and usually only the really light swirls. The only way to remove marring from the paint is to polish it down to the level of the defect.

If you just want filling products, you can get NanoGlos or Mother's Step 2. For actual polishes, start out with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish - it has some polishing ability, plus a load of oils that can also do some filling. If needed, you can move up the Meguiar's consumer polish chain, depending on the severity of the marring (from UP to Swirl-X to Scratch X 2.0 to Ultimate Compound).
