"Tamang OC lang" - a newbie's guide to car appearance maintenance

here's the plan bro
nanofil (every month)
nanosil (every month)
carnuba wax every week (since i wash the car 2x a week or 1x a week)

i was hoping to do this less often, pero nakatulong kasi sa pagbawas ng weight ko.
kung pwede nga lang every 2 weeks yung Fil and Sil eh

anyways, regarding kung kailan ulit mag-reapply ng wax.. example ko na lang yun sa akin, the last time na nag-wax ako mga 4 weeks ago pa. ok pa naman sya hanggang ngayon, pagpag alikabok lang ako then sliq.
maiiba na siguro pag rainy days na dahil mas frequent na ang washing natin. pero as a rule hangga't may beading pa that means buhay pa ang wax nun so quick detail/sliq na lang muna after wash.

di ko masyado feel yung sliq bro (liquid type IIRC), parang mabilis maubos eh
malaki ba improvement nya in terms of glossiness sa auto?

Not sure kung protection din sa base layers. Kasi LSP sya per Microtex. So I'm thinking na it will protect the wax whwn you apply the Sliq.

ngayon pala bro naka Fil lang (bought 2 sachets 2 weeks ago) nilagay ko lang sa hood and rear hatch (dun lang maraming swirl marks), then carnauba all over :D

may tira pa akong 1 & 1/4 sachet (ubusin ko lang), so mayang gabi after wash; Fil ko yung hood, roof and hatch. then existing carnauba wax.

by 2nd or 3rd week of feb ko na siguro simulan yung Fil, Sil then kung anong maipayo dito na magandang ipatong sa fil and sil
tapos observe ko kung OK kalabasan

Based on the description on the link, it is kinda like Meguiar's Paint Protect. They are synthetic sealants. Not QD.

Glaz Crystal FX = 45 days (10-15 car washes)
Meg's Paint Protect = 365 days (50 car washes)

Turtle wax premium polish + turtle wax super hard shell paste wax
And the result was a deep gloss shine
Ok ba yung ginawa ko?

BTW repaint na talaga yung hood ko because of

Wow, weekly waxing? Spray wax??

My last waxing was done in Sept 2014 using Meg's UPW. Water beading is still great up to this day. My paint care regimen:

Daily
- Microtex Duster
- Meg's Ultimate Quik Detailer (As needed)

Once A Month
- Car Wash (As needed)
- Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax Spray (After every car wash)

Every 6 Months
- Clay bar (As needed)
- Meg's Ultimate Polish
- Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax

Nope, if the product was designed for paint care, bakit maging masama sa paint? Typical carnauba paste/liquid wax should last you 1-2 months (some brands can last even more, e.g. Collinite) so weekly application is not needed. You can use spray wax (NanoGlos) after every car wash like what I do with Meg's. [By the way, this is dm from TPC/PDVD.]

Nope, if the product was designed for paint care, bakit maging masama sa paint? Typical carnauba paste/liquid wax should last you 1-2 months (some brands can last even more, e.g. Collinite) so weekly application is not needed. You can use spray wax (NanoGlos) after every car wash like what I do with Meg's. [By the way, this is dm from TPC/PDVD.]

Carnauba wax or Sealant is needed to protect paint surface against oxidation, fading and discoloration.

If you will end at NanoSil, then you are stopping at Stage 2, Correction stage only.

Stage 1 - Wash
Stage 2 - Correction (Compound/Polish/Glaze) -- NanoFil, NanoSil
Stage 3 - Protection (Carnauba wax/Sealant) -- NanoGlos
Stage 4 - Maintain (Quick Detailer, Spray Wax) -- NanoSliq

NanoFil - Removes minor stains, light oxidation and covers most swirls and scratches (Polish effect)
NanoSil - Visually eliminates swirls and scratches (Glaze effect)

What's their durability?
No idea bro as I have not used them yet.

Personally, I am not happy with durability of Microtex products parang isang carwash/ulan lang tanggal lahat nung pinaghirapan mo (Nanos Sil,Glos,Sliq) ;)
Ang marerecommend ko lng siguro ay si NanoSliq bec IMO at par siya with other QD's
