Hello po. Hihinge lang sana ako ng advise kasi i'm planning to have my new 2017 Honda Civic 1.8E ceramic coated soon. Is it worth it na pumunta pa ako sa Laguna for Optimum Impressions para magpa-coat considering na there are other detailers in MM as well(e.g. Technical Details, Glasspro, etc.)? Ganun ba kalaki difference ng service ng Optimum Impressions from other detailers?

From what I've read about those glass/ceramic/diamond coating, they recommend that you don't wash your car for at least 24 hrs, siguro eto yung sinasabing curing time. Most likely may negative effect kapag mabasa, so malas mo lang siguro kung after the coating had been applied at habang papauwi ka biglang umulan.

Technical Details is also good and not afar from where you hails.Malaki naman shop ni Ian in marcos hw. Medyo maganda lng offer ni donj sa akin kya kahit malayo sta rosa worthy naman.[emoji4]

Donj is very helpful and friendly.. he will teach u pretty much all u need to know to maintain the coat...sta rosa is not that far... consider it just another break in for ur new ride.

Sa akin after ng coating ko, one week di ko ginamit ung car para properly cured siya. Then just last night, first wash nya. Ok naman. Satisfied naman ako sa kinalabasan. Ung sa windshield ko ung medyo di ako satisfied, nagski-skip ung wipers ko. Not sure kung di lang malinis ung glass or kailangan ko paulit ung coating or just have the coating for the windshield removed.

Skipping wiper ? Thats unusual..i had mine with Donj..no issues at all for me. If you had it with him, just message him for advise. Thats what i like with Donj, after service support.

I didnt wait that long to cure too..they did the infrared curing and i was out in the rain a day after the treatment..

If you backread some of my posts here, I have the same issue with the G1 on my windshield, skipping wipers. Donj is aware of the issue and will try to remedy it when I get back to him after my car repairs. If you do research, it does seem that this is a common issue with the G1 too.

If you backread some of my posts here, I have the same issue with the G1 on my windshield, skipping wipers. Donj is aware of the issue and will try to remedy it when I get back to him after my car repairs. Yeap. I had it coated too...actually i dont need to do much wiping coz of beading.. i havent had a rainy day with heavy downpour though... but for now, the wiper fully covers its area... wonder what Donj did to my screen...

Right pero yun nga kapag medyo heavy yung rain kailangan mo pa din mag wipe

Yung sakin nagskiskip kapag nsa leftmost side na yung wiper, yung sa pinakavertical position niya. Nakakainis yung sound of skipping.

Per Donj, the 2 in 1 rain x is ok. But the other one, I think the pure rain repellent one is to avoid.

From experience, Rain-X tends to make wipers skip ... new wiper, old wiper, new car, old car ...

I had my car washed at Big Bert's yesterday. When it's time for me to pick it up, they said that it needs a wax because tree saps are all over the car and are hard to remove just by a simple car wash. I said they cannot wax my car because it is ceramic coated. And they said "ah, pangit pagkakalagay, sir". I chose not to react na lang. What do they mean?

I asked Donj about this and he said that if tree sao isn't removed within 24 hours, it will really be hard to remove without light buffing.

What are your comments on this?

Hindi mo sya naagapan?

That ONR QD is useful sa mga tree sap and bird droppings. Pero I'm still studying if ok sya on top of the coat. So far parang magnet sya sa dust haha. Pero baka yung car shampoo yun nag attract. Try ko yung no rinse mixture.

Hindi ko nga napansin na may tree sap e haha. Kapag may bird droppings, ginagamitan ko lang ng turtle wax bug and tar remover.

Pero nung isang araw no choice ako and nagpark sa baba ng tree. Hindi ko napansin na may tree sap nung kukunin ko na yung car. Sabi ng big bert's marami dw all over the car pero hindi ko naman makita yung ibang mga tree sap marks. Ano ba ichura ng mga yun?

Depends kung anong tree yun. Mga dagta. Medyo brownish na parang gel minsan. Pag pinabayan titigas yun. Baka kaya naman ng rubbing compound? Pero before mo gawin, ask mo muna si donj.
