#3. What’s a Ceramic Coating’s limitations?
Ceramic coating is not a miracle product that will solve any and every car paint problem.
For instance, it will not eliminate the need to wash a car. Even if you fork out for it, regular and proper car washing is still needed to prevent things like water spotting. Although water does bead on the surface, rain water is rarely clean and contains minerals or even dirt particles. This means that water that evaporates on the vehicle’s surface (even if treated with ceramic coating) can still be susceptible to visible spots.
However, the most exaggerated quality of ceramic coating probably has to do with its resistance to scratches, swirl marks, and rock chips. Though some small scratches may be repelled, a coated vehicle will not be completely immune to heavier scratches (such as vandalism) or rock chips. Furthermore, improper car washing techniques can still create swirl marks.
I'm planning to avail coating for my new car pero yung package pala includes removing of scratches/detailing.
Is it better na wait nalang ako after a year(para maipon yung gasgas) para sulit siya?![]()
Thanks sa input guys. Yes I think I’ll wait a bit muna, hindi rin kasi biro yung presyo niya especially for the 3-5year coating.
Here's sealant i use on my ride now. Ok siya in terms of hydrophobic qualities and swak na swak sa mga tamad na mag apply ng conventional sealant. After usual washing and nabanlawan mo na shampoo, just spray this on while car is wet then rinse. No wiping needed after. 3 months protection

Anybody tried the nano ceramic crystal coating of Tsikot Paint Protection? Plano ko palagyan yung car namin. Mag 2 years na next month. 10k quote sakin with 20% pa daw.
You should get cquartz reload instead if you want to maintain your coating.
You can use that hydro02 on your wheels instead.
+1 CarPro Reload. I use it every 3 months to maintain the ceramic coating. I also apply CarPro Spotless to remove the water spots before applying Reload.
One thing I don't like with these products is the dizzying smell and the slight headache I feel. I do use a face mask but there's still that faint dizzying smell.
Well if you can, use Reload after every wash para laging slick ung surface.
I've heard some negatives regarding Gliss. May hazing on some users.
Best is if you can purchase Carpro EliXir (new product for 2019). And use that after every wash.
Ako naman I use P&S Bead Maker after every wash. Its a polymer spray sealant. Super slick and hydrophobic ung surface after applying and curing. Paint is also very glossy after.

Or use CarPro Gliss for added protection for an existing ceramic coating. It will also add better protection against water spots

^I watched that video earlier and also a video comparing ceramic coat vs sealant vs carnauba wax. Still undecided kung ano ipapagawa ko sa car. Grey car na daily used going to work and back home. Dusty lagi car kasi laging Osmena-Quirino highway daan ko pauwi to QC so dusts from the Skyway construction always get on the car's surface.
I'm amazed sa result ng ceramic coat pero 10mins. away lang Big Bert's Araneta sakin. Nalilito tuloy ako kung monthly wash and wax sa Big Bert's or go ceramic coat sa car.

If 10mins away ka lang sa big berts then I assume you have your car cleaned outside most of the time.
Sa akin, laking tulong if your car is coated, may it be glass or ceramic. Because 99% of the time, I personally clean ung mga cars sa bahay. So hand in hand with that, I bought products that are coating friendly. The soap that I use has Si02-infused in it. Then as part of my maintenance, I have an Si02 spray sealant and an Si02 spray on, rinse off coating for the sacrificial layer.
Yes, coatings are not immune to scratches and marring but they will be minimized.
And iba ang look ng coated vehicle from a vehicle that has a wax or sealant on it. Depends on your preference for the looks.
