Because of this thread I browsed Optimum Impressions. Maybe the owner can join Tsikot?
I saw the 6 yr old Civic he worked on. Ang galing.

How can one know if the scratches that I see (visible only when checked in direct sunglight) is in the external side of the windshield, in the tint, or because of the ceramic coating? Out of the three possibilities, I'm not entirely sure which one caused it.

anyone tried Big Bert's Carat Nanoceramic Tech Car Coating? I am planning to avail this but i haven't seen any reviews about it especially on the long run... will the clear coat chip out or is it obvious kung ma damage sya? may nakita kasi ako sa youtube parang nag fafade din and nag chichip ung clear coat.
TIA!![]()
There was a question about using QD (Quick Detailer) on the clear coats but I don't remember where.
Anyway, i found this link:
What Quick Detailer do you use on your ceramic coating? (Opticoat, CQuartz, etc)
TLDR: You can use QD but still depends on the clear coat. Optimum No Rinse gives the best results for him.
Question: san meron nun?

Sir, do we still need these? I am just thinking of dusting it off with a feather duster i bought from buendia st vendor..hehe
What addititional benefit would it add to use more solutions and wouldnt it affect the ceramic coat ? Tnx

I didn't knoe that different coating brands need a specific QD. I just bought a Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover but haven't used it yet.Using a regular feather duster will scratch your coating. This is why we use QD solutions before wiping anything off of the paint. Some recommend using dust blowers first but I haven't researched on these yet.

Not really sure with Gtechniq. Can you ask Donj about it?
Sa rebirth naman, sabi ng kausap ko pwede naman lagyan ng wax. Pero I might try QD first instead na wax. I was at Blade earlier and I saw Meguiars Gold Quick Detailer.
For the duster, i got a micro fiber na duster from ACE hardware. Mukhang washable sya. Tsaka mura din.

I did send him a message na, la pang reply.
Pero sabi sakin wag lagyan ng wax dahil hindi nga kakapit sa ceramic cost yun. I bought the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover specifically for removing bird drops and tree sap lang (lubricate and wipe).
As for the MF duster, may nabasa din ako na hindi recommended mga ganun, I forgot the reason why though, hehe. Pero definitely mas ok ang MF duster over a regular feather duster
