    TECHNICAL DETAILS

    * CQuartz UK for whole exterior (paint, wheels, trims, glass) - P12.5K discounted to P12K
    * GTechniq CSL for paint + EXO v3 for paint + C4 for trims - P16K (not sure if this combo includes the wheels and glass. I didn't ask further because the GTechniq package from Optimum Impressions is better)

    OPTIMUM IMPRESSIONS

    * GTechniq CSL for paint and wheels + EXO v3 for paint + Camui Water Repellent for glass + Megs Trim Detailer for trims - P11K
    * GTechniq C5 for wheels - P1.5K discounted to P1K (P2K in Reflection Car Care's website)
    * GTechniq C4 for trims - P1.5K discounted to P1K (P2K in Reflection Car Care's website)
    * GTechniq G1 for glass - P900 discounted to P700 (P1K in Reflection Car Care's website)

    If I get all, the total would be P13.7K which I think is a good deal. Optimum Impressions also uses infrared lamps for curing.
    thanks for sharing. pricing is pretty good 💰💰💰

    sir kevin, anong car yung P13.7k sa Optimum?

    i went there kanina during lunch break, they can only cater 1 or 2 cars per day. their October schedule is fully booked already and sa November na daw ang open slots

    planning to have coating on my mzd3 soul red eh.

    Sorry, I forgot to mention the car, lol. It's for a 2018 Subaru XV.

    Yup, earliest slot na daw ang November. Ok lang sakin kasi I still don't have my car. Inaayos pa papers sa CASA.

    Ang layo nga, taga Taguig ako, pero iniisip ko na kasama narin yun sa pag break-in ko. Saka since yung main distributor ng GTechniq (Reflections Car Care) nasa Laguna din (if I'm not mistaken), tingin ko mas natutukan nila yung pagtrain sa mga tao ng Optimum Impressions.

    how much more durable is cquartz compared to a decent sealant like Carlack Long-Life (aka Klasse KSG)?

    real-world philippine setting w/ no marketing BS claims

    Wax, sealants, and glass coating all have shorter life spans in our polluted tropical weather. With regards to sealants vs glass coating, according to professional detailers here and abroad, regardless of the brand (as long as it is a reputable brand) the glass/ceramic nano coating will always last longer than the best sealants in the market.

    yep. but just exactly how much longer? coz the sealant i'm using now (carlack long-life) is sooooo easy to apply i could do it every week

    so if a "glass" coating only lasts like 3x better than the carlack then it doesn't make much sense for me coz as i've mentioned the carlack is super easy to reapply

    the added hardcoats bond with the clear coat. there is a pre polish on the original clearcoat to make the added coat bond, making it harder and thicker.. as advertised it is 9h

    so whats the hardness of that carlak..

    glad to hear that carlack long life is easy to apply. but how about buffing it off? do you buff it right away or allow some time to dry/haze before buffing?

    the equivalent klasse sealant is also easy to apply but difficult to buff once it dries. its a tough sealant but it requires some curing time to bond better to the paint...

    you really think a few microns of "glass" coating on top of a soft clearcoat is going to protect against scratching from a-hole motorcycles

    it's the same w/ anodized alumium. you've got a thin coating of abrasion-resistant aluminum oxide which protects well against light scratching. but as the forces increase the underlying soft aluminum deforms and the super-hard oxide layer just crumbles

    i leave it on about 30mins then buff off. it buffs off super easy
