If you have WD40 on-hand, just spray a coating on the affected areas and leave it on for about a minute. It will easily dissolve the asphalt/road tar. Wipe it off using a clean cloth and re-spray on the stubborn ones.

Shampoo the car afterwards to remove the oily residue.

Spray kerosene, leave for 1-2mins or until asphalt softens, wipe with MF cloth, wash with car shampoo. Hehe.

Hindi ba nakaka sira ng paint finish yung kerosene sir? I've seen carwash boys use a solvent na pang tanggal ng asphalt but im not sure kung kerosene yun. Ma tanong nga sa sunod na washing..

i've attended a seminar with a famous brand of automotive cleaning products... its main office is in kamias ...and they use kerosene to remove asphalt. i guess its safe as long as you wash it afterwards and apply protection such as wax

Safe ang kerosene,- basta iwa-wipe off mo lang totally.....

Bro.ecneret...,- iyan ang kagandahan ng side cladding,- walang masyadong concern sa talsik na aspalto...

Kerosene and solvents would work. But most cost-efficient is kerosene definitely.

I usually have the car wash/detailing shop do the "asphalt removal" (they normally use kerosene) then i wax it when i get home.

    Don't use gasoline (masyadong matapang).

The safest would be using a clay bar. Then apply wax after. This will remove other contaminants from the paint as well.

sa car wash ang ginagawa nila, water wash muna yung sasakyan para maalis alikabok, tapos using a sprayer, spray nila yung kerosene then pahid sa sasakyan para matanggal asphalt at iba pang dumi... tapos wash ulit, then dry tapos wax

Actually, safest would be first softening the asphalt first before immediately claying. Immediate claying would only harm the paint as asphalt sediments are pretty tough to remove and would scratch the paint if you attempt to do so.
