medyo dumb question lng po sirs:

yung pinaka clear coat b ng paint e yun yung reason kung bkit parang wet look & shiny ang paint o yung paint mismo?

ano nga uli tawag dun ?top coat o clear coat?

sensya n po mga sir medyo labo para sa kin to e!

Yes...clear coat.

Threx: No, not really. Clear coat is just unpigmented paint. It does give a car a "glossier layered" look, but a single stage paint (either CC premixed or no CC at all) will still look very glossy if painted right.

yup....parang colorless nail polish yan eh. it goes on top of the colored paint so as to make it glossy and shiny.

and to add to that, that layer has to be taken care of to maintain its gloss and shine..

some defects (pag "mahina na ang shine") can go way through the clear.. so, before spraying another coat of clear, this has to be fixed first. (sayang naman kung magpapalagay ka ng clear tapos may dings, scratches and dents that have to be repaired--of course, this and a myriad of factors will be taken into consideration by the painter) this might be a pretty expensive solution that can be simply remedied by detailing.

have it assessed first by a pro before shelling out some big money.

iniisip ko kc pa asses ka sa bb one of these days pag kaya ng detailing, ill have the dings and scratches fixed -mostly on the driver side doors then have it fully detailed s bb.

Just make sure na kapag nagparepaint ka, have the paint blended to the surrounding paint para hindi obvious. And have it polished too para mukhang di natamaan.

of course that's not true.

I've seen results that are significantly better than OEM Paint.

looks, most repainted (by good repainters) are way better than OEM.

But in terms of adhesion and durability, I'd have to disagree with dehadista, though. It takes a lot of effort to match the adhesion and durability of factory painted surfaces since they're not painted and prepped the same manner..

agree with theveed on the last one though. hard to beat yung OEM Primer and process entailed with it.

if a painter will use polyurethane and epoxy primer that's a different story.

ibig sabihin ba i have to insist on an epoxy primer tas polyurethane?

polyurethane ba d best among the paints- anzahl dupont, k92, polyurethane etc (assumng of courese na paintter/shop is the same) may discernable diffrence ba sa mga paints na yan assuming na same lang skill ng painter?

If your budget permit yes insist on poly and epoxy primer. Polyurethane is a type of of paint.Anzahl,dupont and k92 has polyU brand.Ask your painter kung saan sya hiyang.
