    mga sir good day po

    medyo dumb question lng po sirs:

    yung pinaka clear coat b ng paint e yun yung reason kung bkit parang wet look & shiny ang paint o yung paint mismo?

    ano nga uli tawag dun ?top coat o clear coat?

    sensya n po mga sir medyo labo para sa kin to e!

    Threx: No, not really. Clear coat is just unpigmented paint. It does give a car a "glossier layered" look, but a single stage paint (either CC premixed or no CC at all) will still look very glossy if painted right.

    Top coat/clear coat, same banana.

    yup....parang colorless nail polish yan eh. it goes on top of the colored paint so as to make it glossy and shiny.

    and to add to that, that layer has to be taken care of to maintain its gloss and shine..

    pede po bang mag papaint ka ng top coat /clear coat lang to add that shine pag medjo mahina na shne ng auto?

    some defects (pag "mahina na ang shine") can go way through the clear.. so, before spraying another coat of clear, this has to be fixed first. (sayang naman kung magpapalagay ka ng clear tapos may dings, scratches and dents that have to be repaired--of course, this and a myriad of factors will be taken into consideration by the painter) this might be a pretty expensive solution that can be simply remedied by detailing.

    have it assessed first by a pro before shelling out some big money.
