vinj try mo next time yung Meg's na NXT car shampoo (purple)...

buti sa inyo malakas yung water pressure... sa amin it will take a few more weeks pa, ngayon palang pipe-laying ng Maynilad sa village namin. i'm still enjoying the use of my pressure washer ala carwash.

and iba talaga feel pag ikaw nag linis ng sasakyan mo. lately di nako masyado pagod whan i do my carwash and interior cleaning routine, nasanay narin katawan.

Iba din yung feeling pag naulanan yung kotse mo.

I'll consider the NXT then. Tamang tama, may carshow at the end of the month, baka may display with discounts.

Renzo, usually one to two caps depending sa size ng balde mo.

Galing. Gusto ko magkadriver na ulit... irony of it all; nung bata pa ako, gusto ko walang driver (pero may family driver kami), ngayon na nagsarile at nagtratrabaho na, gusto ko na ng driver.

Some malls have this car wash service in the parking tower area. This is good business especially for families during weekends where they go the malls. They enjoy shopping while the car is being wash and clean.

Otherwise I do all the washing myself.

Masaya mag DIY car wash! i do this every weekend for our 2 koreans. I just use the following:

    1.) Regular Hose
2.) Human Shampoo (i just buy yung cheap shampoo sa japan home, 88 pesos for 1.5L)
3.) Foam Chamois (autogard) for soaping and drying
4.) regular basahan for the wheels (i dont like tire black), paminsan na lang pag sa carwash

Procedure is to wet the car, soap it down, rinse and wipe dry with the synthetic chamois. i find the synthetic ones dry cars better compared to cloth ones (walang lint)

waxing once every two months lang, or kung may mga hairline scratches. use the regular turtle wax (green).

so far, been able to maintain the shine and cleanliness ng kotse with this routine. hassle lang pag umulan right after mo hugasan!

Pero I've been planning to wash my car by myself (exercise na rin) anytime soon.

    Question 1:

Ano ba magandang products na gamitin?
No detailing involved. Just pure washing. Ano ba magandang shampoo etc. ?

Ilan ba yung ratio niya...

    Question 2:

Ikaw ba, do you wash your car by yourself? Or para ikaw ako? Hayaan nalang yung carwash to do the job.

i wash my rides personally, renz.

every other weekend or twice a month.

no special products used. just water and shampoo (kung ano meron sa banyo) at sponge.

tapos eh rinse thoroughly at hand dry using any cotton cloth.

kung me time pa, rubbing compound sa mga gasgas or carnuba wax.

pero madalas, washing lang kase kakapagod. hehehehe

As my response, I used to do the carwash myself as part of my "exercise" regimen much of what renz is trying to do now. Nakakapagod naman talaga siya so I find it's worth the time naman. However, take note that doing 30 minutes of cardio at moderate-high intensity would be better than 2 hours of "pagod" due to detailing the car. Besides, doing the car wash by yourself has some implications on your back so I'd avoid it if you have known back issues. For now, I let my suking detailing shop wash it on grounds of "outsourcing" (ex. I can use the time to do some other productive things) but I still try to wash it every Sunday personally (if it's dirty).

You don't need an expensive shampoo. Just stick with Microtex and it gets the job done. Php150/L versus NXT's Php700/L is huge and I wouldn't recommend you take the jump unless mayaman ka *cough* *cough* :naughty2: As for the dilution ratio, ikaw na bahala dyan. Overlubricating has no bad implications but under-lubricating does. I tend to follow what's on the instruction manual and just add half a "cup" more for the added lubricity. But as long as the water is slippery, okay na yun.

There are MF towels made specially for drying. I wouldn't use the MFs used for buffing, etc. for drying since they won't soak up tons of water compared to the latter. I find the Microtex (again) drying MF a very good buy for the time and money.

It's not that Microtex is being favored by fellow tsikoteers or by Doc (scharnhorst), but it's because talaga bang for the buck siya. There's news of reformulation na of the Nanoglos.. you might wanna empty your old stocks first before purchasing since I've heard it's improved in all aspects. (Hint!)

For the tireblacks, interior, and claying, sa suking detailing shop ko na rin pinapagawa yan. Especially claying.. After all, Php800 gets me a carwash, tire blackening, a claying session, interior rugs cleaning, some minor punas-punas sa engine, a Collinite Sapphire Wax using DA topped off by Collinite #845 at my suking detailing shop. I love my 30% discount and to think my car is MEDIUM :naughty2: okay na ako doon since what they do for 2 hours is 5 hours by myself (and I don't have a blower, a dual action polisher, a high-pressure water jet, etc.)

Microtex shampoo, washmit na P50 sa ace, 1 for me & 1 for any of my kids who wanted to help me

Sa shampoo 2 to 3 caps (takip nung bote ng shampoo). Just check kung madulas pa sa kamay yung water.

I use MF for drying. Bigay lang ng bro in-law ko. Microtex daw yun. Okay naman, medyo napabilis ang drying. Since most of the time kami lang ni misis ang gumagamit ng sasakyan papapasok ng trabaho, kaya hindi masyado madumi ang interior. Punas punas lang ok na.

    Tapos kinabukasan uulan...ayos! :D

How true! I can't seem to understand minsan how buong linggo, maaraw. Then just as you are pulling out of the car wash, uulan naman.

    (Hahaha...)

Then, back to step number 1, or from page 1 again.

Hihi! Parang ako lang, ah... until about a month ago.

With my first car, a 2nd hand Nissan Pulsar... I used to do the washing, rubbing, polishing and waxing myself. Syempre first car, tapos red pa. Ang sarang ng feeling seeing it so shiny. Dun sa pangalawa, a Mitsu Lancer EL, nasa mga 50/50 with self-washing and having it done sa car wash.

Etong pangatlo, an Altis 1.6E... although mas bago at mas current model medyo tamad na talaga. 80% of the time nasa car wash siya. The times na ako nag-lilinis, mabilisang wash and rinse lang and minsan pa nga wala nang drying. Pero lately kakabasa dito sa forums at kakatambay sa Ace at Handyman I got interested again in detailing my car not just washing.
