hi. would like to inquire about detailing a white car. i have researched a bit and would like to know your inputs.
    1. washing (what's the best shampoo to use that doesn't strip down wax?)
    2. claying (already bought mother's claybar set)
    3. polishing? (i have meguiar's cleaner wax paste, is this good?)
    4. wax (meguiar's white wax?)
    5. wax again (meguiar's ultimate wax paste?)
    6. final touch ( meguiar's ultimate quik wax or ultimate quik detailer?)

    1) Just buy a car shampoo from a reputable brand. Turtle Wax Zip Wax if you're looking for value. Meguiars Gold Class Car Shampoo or Ultimate Wash and Wax kung gusto mo mag lustay ng pera. I can't recommend local brands (e.g. Blade) kasi unproven kung car wax safe.

    2) Good choice. I just buy the cheap stuff from China, works just the same.

    3) Get a real polishing compound or glaze. Mothers or Meguiars are always safe choices.

    4) Get a paint sealant like Meguiars Paint Protect instead. Lasts longer. Or you can get Collinite 845.

    5) Any good quality carnauba wax. Again, Meguiars or Mothers are safe bets. But if you use a proper product for #4, you may not need this step.

    6) Use UQD to clean your car between washes. Use UQW after washing to boost your existing LSP.

Sir currently I'm using Microtex for the Shampoo (not wash and wax), Soft99 for the Clay Bar then just have a mix of the said Shampoo and Water for lube of the Clay..Then Microtex NanoFil for the hairline/swirl scratches, then NanoSil as sealant, then NanoGloss for the wax...Lastly, Microtex NanoSliq for top up...

I just re-apply Fil/Sil/Gloss once in 2months or depending on the water bead formation when I wash my car...

You can watch also Sir on youtube ChrisFix, he has an episode on how to super clean your car.

    Thank you and Goodluck!

DA polisher will get the job done faster and better. But you need to buy one. Decide if it is worth the cost.

Spent 2 hours claying a white car this morning. I used modeling clay bought from the bookstore. Works just fine. Silky smooth....

No swirl, Sir. Just use a lot of lubrication. Sinubukan ko muna sa 2 year old white fortuner. Ayos naman.
Was actually looking for BLU TAC, kaso wala.

Uy parang good idea yang Blu Tac. Sticky and malleable like detailing clay. Try ko nga rin haha

Just to be sure, I'll probably just use blu tac or modelling clay sa lower portion ng front and rear bumper to rid of unsightly tar and road grime. Napakamahal ng original clay bar just for that. I was thinking of using Play Doh pero medyo iba rin pala siya sa modeling clay. The latter does not dry up and crumble as it is oil based (much better for gliding over our car's precious paint), and is also very malleable. And I think it's cheaper too.

Anyway, would you know of any application which could minimize these tar and grime from mucking up the paint?

Use a clay sponge ... GInnova sells NanoSkin (REFLECTIONS CAR CARE) 1000 pesos ... D3 Tech (Facebook) sells a cheaper variant for 600 ... or you can buy a Bug / Tar remover at True Value / Ace Hardware / Blade for 350+ ...

Hi guys!!! Have a white car repainted recently... but as early as now (3 months), i already see some black stubborn stains on the paint... maybe asphalt. How do you guys deal with them? I wash the car at least once a week and have also applied wax.

Those black stains, are you referring to the one found around the wheels all through out the mud guards up to the lower part of your front doors? I just use this tar remover. I'll get back with the brand name later.

if asphalt, you may try to spray with kerosene, let it linger a bit and see if it soften then wipe off. wash and wax the area afterwards.

or check sir ginnova's detailing store. i think he is selling some products for decontamination.

Thanks! It’s actually not on the lower part of the car but on the hood. I also found some above the windows. I can rub them off with my fingers if I put heavy pressure. Just weird that they’re still there right after a full carwash.

Thanks! Ok will try the kerosene method. Hope it solves it. I remember before I had the car completely repainted / washed over, there were also black stains that were really hard to remove Kaya don’t wanna go that route again.
