    gurus...

after washing madami akong nakitang acid rain sa hood and trunk.. ang ginawa ko eh ni-rub ko ng vinegar tapos may nakita parin ako kaya ni-clay ko siya...

ok lang ba gamitan ng vinegar? may nabasa ako somewhere using a vinegar to remove acid rain.. i don't know lang kung para sa salamin lang yun...

Griots uses a D handle which is more comfortable for long term polishing

PC vibrates and produces less noise which is a relief for the eardrums

so i guess it would be a matter of preference

Also the Griots has about 10% more power over the PC 7424xp as some people say but it comes at the price of vibrating and being a lot noisier than the PC 7424XP

Also, are carlack68 NSC and LLS stand alone products? Or should LLS always be layered over NSC? Thanks maam.

Vinegar should be pretty harmless to the paint if not left to dry, but once you leave it to dry it has a very big chance of etching the paint, remember vinegar is acid and acid rain actually has a less acidic PH level and can already etch the paint and cause watermarks what more a stronger acid like vinegar? Vinegar is generally used on glasses and at times on paint but the reason why these are used to treat water marks is dependent on what water marks you are dealing with, if the water marks are caused by mineral deposits then using vinegar can help soften and dissolve some of the mineral deposits making it easier to remove, but with using vinegar you should never let it dry on the paint, once it dries on the paint thats quite a recipe for disaster, some people claim using natural vinegar is quite harmless but my say is, why even risk it? Next if the water marks are caused by acid rain etching then using vinegar is actually gonna make matters worse since the current condition of the paint is weak against acids. So if you ask me i really wouldn't recommend using vinegar except on glass

if you problem is mineral deposits, try to do a quick clay and check if that does the trick

if its still there then use step 1 to remove the etching, if its still there you might need to polish the paint already

Hello, using some form or car maintenance product is better than using none at all, so to answer your question yes its better to use Micro Magic/Dub brand at blade than not use anything at all, and when it comes to wax, something to protect the paint is better than nothing, but of course there are tons of other stuffs out there that are better than these items, if you could squeeze in a little more budget try the Microtex Shampoo 150 only and try the Nano Glos its at 360 only for the 500ml, if you have more budget try the mothers line

i am familiar with the Paralux brand but not with the glaze, paralux is known for paints but not too much in relation to automotive paint, next the glaze in its industry essence is really a gloss enhancer but doesn't offer protection, so if you ask me if the Paralux Glaze can improve the gloss im quite sure it can improve the gloss but im also leaning towards the idea that it doesn't protect the paint, glazes are glazes and in its basic essence a glossing agent, some glazes contain protective elements but its not really their main forte, a good suggestion would be to use that same Glaze and apply a carnauba wax on top to seal the glaze, this would give you that great shine and also give you protection

NSC and LLS are a lot more durable when used in conjunction with each other, both can be used as a stand alone product, you can use NSC and get decent protection and with LLS you just have to make sure the paint is clean and free from oils and other elements that might interfere with the bonding process, But i would strongly recommend using then with each other since they are really developed to be used together, its like if you use them individually you only get at most 50% durability but if used together you get 100% durability, something in that train of thought, basically the improvements in the results are very very far when used together compared to used individually this aspect covers mainly durability

thanks madkatz and very much well explain and for the suggestions

actually i have a microtex shampoo and formula, 1 carnuba wax and zymoil quick detailer and just recently tried the 3m paint protect, i really like to buy the mothers 1-3 step products in the future if buget permit lalu na yung clay bar.... i also have tons sets of micro fiber cloth (yung mura nga lang at generic lang) for drying and buffing well i am applying .....

agin if bugget and time permits i will convert my Kinzo rotary sander into a polisher which i bought i think 5 years ago in Makro since it has variable speed... i just need diy adaptor to attach a boch polishing kit.

Ohh, then better stick with those, Microtex shampoo is a lot more gentle so you're sure not to strip waxes, Formula 1 Carnauba Wax is actually a decent OTC wax, its durability stand up there with the longer lasting ones but its downside is that its very hard to remove, Zymol QD is also great, cheap and good value cleaner QD

As with the rotary sander, that sounds like a plan! looking forward to your successful update with it

many thanks madam...i'll never use vinegar na lang to be on the safe side..

ano ba medyo mura murang QD na may shine and protection na rin as bonus..though mas priority ko yung shine...

medyo malakas kasi ako sa QD since black tiskot after ko kasi i-dust with cali duster there are times na sinusundan ko ng QD....

before i'm mixing wax as you dry dilluted with distilled water 1:1 ratio (dunno if this is good )..

Kung Cleaning QD ang pinaka economical Optimum No Rinse or DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss. 32oz can make 4 gallons of QD.

Aside sa Wax coating, meron pa bang pwedeng ilagay after mo gamitan ng wax yung paint ng car mo? (For double protection.) Any suggestion sa Brand or product po?

Microtex Nano Glos, Megs Last Touch, FK 425, ONR and OID are all very economical QD's that deliver great results

i believe that you would be looking for a sealant, its different from a wax but it compliments a wax by improving the durability, try klasse/carlack brand twins, these are basically some of the benchmarks for sealants
