since it's a 1 day old car, check you paint if claying is needed. after washing the car and if the paint feels rough, you need to clay, otherwise you may skip this part.

for the polish, i don't reco using polish for a brand new car since polishes are designed to strip down old coats of wax, water marks, and paint oxidation. since your car is a day old, i don't believe that you have above mentioned stuff on your paint.

IMHO, for a brand new car, go with wash+wax+maintain. there's a curing time before waxes can be applied to new cars, let's wait on the gurus' input on this.

enjoy taking care of your new car, remember to use proper washing methods

Hello, well either if its just 1 day old or 2 months old it all boils down to the paint condition, you could have a 1 day old car with you right out of the casa but its been baked under the sun for weeks in the assembly plant so there is still a chance it might get contaminated with other environmental contaminants so before you proceed with anything on your fresh car this is what i recommend you do

    1. Wash the car with Joy, Yes i mentioned Joy since you will be waxing after anyway so its best to use this detergent to help remove grease and grime, it also offers great lubricity, use a decent washmitt and apply the two bucket method to ensure you don't scratch the paint, on the drying stage i also recommend you use a MF towel to dry it like Microtex Elite, Megs Water Magnet or Moms Drying Towel, of all i prefer Microtex since its larger

    2. After washing and drying the car, make sure every crevice is water free, you can use a blower if you have one or you can use a straw to get to those tight spots, or you can use the ever so popular woo-woo method that i've recently learned was the term used here in tsikot from my BF, meaning blow the water out of crevices so they don't cause water marks

    3. Now that you paint is clean and dry, its time to inspect the paint, get a soft plastic bag those that you usually see from the market, make sure its clean and dry and cover your hands with it and gently glide it on the paint, if you feel rough spots on the paint thats one check for Claying, if you see stains and very very light marring and micro fine scratches then its one check for polish as well

    4. Now you clay first before you apply the polish, if you see that the paint is rough and doesn't have stains and is crystal clear then claying is just needed, if the paint is smooth but has some stains then polish is needed, if both checks are up then both are needed, again clay first before polish, prepare a QD solution and lots of MF for this stage.

    5. Now you can apply the wax and use the QD to maintain, always remember with waxing and QDing to always use the lightest pressure when working the MF to the paint, in most cases if you wax thin and you just mist your QD you don't need pressure to make a streak free shine

Hope this helps and grats on the new car!

Oh yeah for interior theres Microtex Sunshield and Mothers Protectant, as for megs if you're after the very shiny finish Ultimate Protectant is the way to go if you're more of a matte finish then use Quik interior

Yes as long as you don't wipe it too hard its alright, Microtex Chamois is not like most chamois you see outside that is purely like rubber, Microtex Chamois has MF like fibers covered in it so it doesn't squeek and marr the paint. so yes you can wipe but not too hard.

Yes I did use ZFX and put on 3 layers of Z5. After three days i put on another layer without ZFX. I took the picture 10 days after application. No wash yet. When the Z2 arrives next week, I'll put on more layers, haha!

Zaino is good BUT the price is obscene! Darn!
Cool! i like the Z2pro for blacks and darks, it really gives that mirror shine, and i like Z5pro for lighter colored cars, i sort of see that z5pro kinda makes dark paints look a little like plastic.

Hello i would greatly appreciate that, thanks you! pls pm me the price list im sure Edwin will also be happy to check it out, BTW whats TT?

95% of the time its true that the paint is clean and doesn't need claying and polish but there are some unfortunate ones that have gotten hack jobs from dealers on their first day with the cars, but yeah it is also recommended to just wait for the defects and contaminants to accumulate to use a polish, i so agree with that, this way you really save and make the most of your clear coat but some people just want their brand new cars perfect hehe

yes you can do that, but i would think its the same, FX synwax might provide a little more extra gloss but it does get washed away faster than Collinite, they have different looks actually FX is more like a glassy look Collinite is a little glowing look something warm

    Hi Ms. Madkatz

Any feedback on Duragloss PBA #601 and Duragloss Clear Coat Polish (CCP) #111? Nakita ko online mura siya compared sa ibang sealants.

wow really thin lang pala kong e apply? di pala madaling maubos ang collinite.

Hello, its not bad and its quite good actually, the finish you get is near KSG solo, the mixture is quite finicky since you really need to have the optimal mixture to ensure the best bonding, its a little runny so its not the typical sealant where a little goes a long way, overall its a sealant worth buying for those in a financial pinch, but for a few more bucks on the budget there's definitely better sealants out there, of course don't compare it to KSG and tougher sealants and if you have KSG already i would recommend you just buy the Poly or Maxi or Catalytic Chargers, the finish is good about KSG good but not great like DGPS and Z2, but the downside why we don't use it anymore is because even if the shine lasts long it doesn't really protect the paint that much against environmental contaminants.

one tin can should last you more than 3 years of application every 2 weeks so you could say its well worth its price, that is of course considering that you are waxing the proper way

By the way if you're looking into the DG line of products the ones i recommend are DG 902 car wash concentrate, its great for cleaning and you will notice that it really is gentle on the paint, its also great for foam guns since you're planning on getting the foam canon, this one has less foam that megs hyperwash but for me is better, Aqua Wax 952 is also great, don't use it as a wax however, its slated as a wax but its more of a synthetic QD or spray sealant, so its not a pure sealant IMO but its definitely a booster over whatever your LSP is, and lastly if you're looking at sealants try the DG Total Performance Polish, this IMO is better than CCP, for me its more durable the CCP near the same level as KSG and also protects better than CCP without needing the bonding agent but its also compatible with the bonding agent although its doesn't improve as much, it does have abrasives as cleaners based on my understanding because we tried this on a white pad and it did remove some swirls but overall if you're still looking for better sealants there are others that are better for a few more bucks
