    thanks for the advice.

i bet some of you will read that as thanks in advance.
No you still need to wax at least every month, its just that every 6 months you remove the sealants and layer them again, but for the sealants to last long enough you still need to wax monthly basically the sealant just becomes the fail safe measure once the wax dies out, then the sealant needs to be re-applied before it start to dull

oid ka kung qd. cost effective.

thanks madkatz. so it's conquer the OC within and just layer the wax in-between 4-6 months. after that, strip all layers, restart.

Sulit siya, pare. Nakaka-3 weeks na ako na halos twice a week ang hugas (wash + OCW), buhay pa rin ang beading.

    For ultimate durability Sealants talaga.

    Check niyo to mga sirs

    The Biggest Sealant Test ever!

Test orignally started 10th Sept, with second group added 18th, week later. Reviews took place at 8th Oct and 1st Nov 2008.

After 4 months, the following sealants are still protecting the paintwork:

    Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
Chemical Guys: M-Seal, Jetseal 109, Speed Amor
    Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze
    Hi Temp Paste
    Zaino AIO, Z2 and Z5
    Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant.

2 months na KSG ko beading at shiny pa din. Pansin ko na difference niya sa carnauba yung shine ng sealant parang may cling wrap na nakapatong sa paint pag tinignan mo at different angles.

i reread my hastily written posts, and they're confusing.
i'll attempt to make it clear here.

Question: is it ok to only wash every week and wax every month in a period of 4 months? the car has been clayed, sealed and waxed. The car is driven daily QC<-->muntinlupa so the car, in a few days, will have debris that a thorough wash won't clean and you'll catch and see only with claying.

A: Wash weekly and wax monthly til you reach 4 months or so, strip then restart clay - seal.

what's disturbing about that study is that the non-polied sealants outlasted their polied ones.

that's what i want to retest. proper methods for each product.

Hahaha well if the guy already has a sealant he might just need a polycharger to make it better and faster, and if you're pertaining to Opti-seal, we're still on the process of thoroughly testing its capabilities so we're sure it will definitely deliver the best for its price class, and we're still trying to liquidate some items so we could order the next batch of detailing items not purely optimum

We might have it over by November, we're also testing the new spray on compound and polish, before we order so its cheaper

    whats OID? Optimum Instant Detailer?

    Well its more like

Put up a layer of sealant, re-layer after 24 hours and then slap on some carnauba wax again after 24 hours cure time, this is preferably done within one week. and then after that its back to monthly waxing until the 6 months when you remove everything.

Haha thats a very old article, but to be honest im also shocked about some of the results, AG extra gloss protection didn't even last us 2 months of summer and its on the longest lasting list, FK 2180 Polywipe lasted about as long as KSG and in the test it fell off pretty soon, but overall i have to agree that those items are some of the toughest out there and we could attest to it since we have all the items on the final lists but the items used were a bit outdated and some are already reformulated, i want to know when Opti-seal fell off because so far based on real tests Opti-seal is near KSG durability.

We're also currently trying out Rejex and i hope some people also test it soon, lots of people swear by Rejex, and we're also trying out the new reformulted Z2pro, PB's sealants are also great and easy to use, its falls off faster on durability though but for the price its still worth trying and with a faster cure time and better ease of use its definitely worth trying
