Hi, I don't know if this has been answered but is megs cleaner wax the same as step 1 of mothers? Do they share the same purpose?

So bale sir it's ok to include the cleaner wax in my next week detailing plan even though mag two years palang car ko at makintab pa rin? Hindi mawawala yung orginal na wax at top coat niya?

Here's what I'm planning kasi:

1. car wash
2. claybar
3. (cleaner wax) - undecided
4. swirlX
5. step 2
6. final wax

Yes sir, wala po ako nung makinarya pang buff. Are there other things to consider when applying some of this products by hand? Just wondering since you mentioned it.

kung durability talaga go for sealants like Klasse / Carlack combo

Actually kakatapos ko lang Optiguard. I think ang inapply nila doon is Carlack. Pero naghahanap ako ng wax na I can apply once a month. Try ko siguro Collinite 845.

Is it safe/okay na ipatong ang collinite sa Carlack?

Thank you Sir...kakapagod nga lang..pero worth it naman...before I joined this forum, mga OTC waxes lang gamit ko, isang hugasan lang wala na, ngayon I'm impressed with collinite 476s's durability (dahil protection lang naman habol ko talaga)...just by reading the DIY methods on correction etc...naka-save ako sa cost ng pagpapa-detail (and in fact parang wala kasi akong tiwala kung iba ang gagawa, iba pa din ang alaga ng may-ari )...first credit goes to Madkatz sa mga initial tips and notes na nakuha ko ...and syempre mga tips din galing sa ibang members...

+1 sir iba talaga quality ng gawa kung ikaw mismo ang nag detail. Pag iba kasi gumawa hindi na papractice yung "least agressive method first" pagdating sa pag remove ng defects sa paint

yup i so agree with this joy and perla are both great, joy for removing waxes from MF Cloths and applicator pads and Perla to keep MF towels soft.

hahaha well the Opti-seal is not coming until september or October, klasse/carlack twins go for around 2.6k for both

Aside from what JM said, cleaner waxes also leave a very light layer of protection behind whereas Step 1 purely cleans the paint

usually its swirlX first then cleaner wax but i would recommend pre-wax cleaner instead of cleaner wax since it can improve the paint to accept step 2 and the rest by removing polishing oils from swirlX

yes they use carlack for the optiguard and yes you can apply collinite every month, even every week if you want. if you are planning on waxing monthly then i would suggest 476 so that you get more than enough protection, but for ease of use definitely get the 845 instead.
