Pardon me if this has been asked multiple times.

I have a 2 week old Honda City 2014 VX White, and dahil maulan these past few days, sobrang dumi na nya. My question is, may issue ba kung every week ako nag papa carwash and wax. Problem with my white car is kitang kita ung alikabok, lalo na pag naulanan at natuyo. First car ko din kasi. TIA

you can wash your car as often as you want. washing will not make your car yellowish nor fade the paint. it is the sun's UV that will fade your paint so you need to wax or seal your paint regularly.

Recommended ba na may buffer machine pa o manual buffing will give you same result?

What type of wax is easy to apply for beginners like me. My ride is 5 months old.

    Thanks

You can get similar result with manual buffing but it will take you longer time to finish. If you only have one car, then this is fine. We are only talking about waxing here.

For polishing, DA (Dual Action) polisher is better. It takes much time and effort to remove swirls and scratches by hand. And after polishing the whole car, you still need to apply wax/sealant. DA polisher can be used for polishing and waxing. They are variable speed (6-speed) so you got plenty of control.

    In summary:

DA polisher - Increased speed, Reduced effort, Apply product in a more uniform manner. Best for polishing and waxing.
By hand - Slow. You can get as detailed as you want specially on corners and edges.

In general, wax/sealant are easy to apply. Note that you only need to apply thin coats as the paint can only hold fixed amount (thin layer actually) of wax/sealant. If you put too much, you will just be wasting product as you will remove most of them during buffing.

Sealant or Carnauba Wax or Paint Coating -- What to Choose?

    Sealants (Synthetic Wax)

    - Last longer than carnauba wax. Typically lasts 4-6 months, with some even up to 12 months.
    - Usually come in liquid form so are much easier to apply than carnauba paste wax
    - Gives that slick, brilliant sparkle and hard-as-glass look (but still not as shiny as carnauba wax)
    - The logical choice for daily drivers or busy detailers

    Recommendations:
    - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant (Premium durability and wet-look shine)
    - Meguiar's Ultimate Wax (Long-lasting protection and deep, dark reflections)
    - Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 (Most Popular)
    - Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze (Best shine and ease of use)
    - Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (Slick finish and incredible depth)

    Carnauba Wax
    - Typically lasts 4-8 weeks.
    - Usually harder to apply than synthetic wax
    - Gives that warm, deep, liquid look and shine that looks more natural
    - Beads water nicely, absorbs the acid content in rain, and hides minor swirls in the paint.
    - The only choice for many enthusiasts and show car owners

    Recommendations:
    - Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax (When price is no object, best in class)
    - Zymol Concours Glaze (Amazing show car shine)
    - Sonax Premium Class Carnauba Wax (Another premium level wax)
    - P21S Concours Carnauba Wax (Most popular)
    - Collinite #915 Marque D’Elegance Carnauba Paste Wax (Paint friendly, classic genuine carnauba formula)
    - Collinite #845 Insulator Gel Wax (Easy application, durable weather protection)

    Paint Coating
    - Will not wash or wear off. Can last for 2 years or much longer.
    - Paint finish has to be properly prepared before application. Any blemish or contamination on the paint will be permanently locked in.
    - Provides a clear, hard coating that provides increased protection against the elements
    - The professional choice for permanent paint protection. No more waxing!

    Recommendations:
    - GTechniq EXO Ultra Durable Hybrid Coating (Lasts up to 5 years)
    - Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 (Lasts for the car's lifetime)
    - CarPro CQuartz (Lasts up to 2 years)

Pwede ring KAIO+KSG+Nanoglos. Ano kaya ok? Pasensya na kung maraming tanong

it shows na madumi ang paint surface mo kung during buffing ng wax ay nagiging marumi yung pamunas wala dapat dumi sa buffing cloth kung nag-apply ka na ng wax. it means you are not washing your car thoroughly and properly. dapat bago ka mag-apply ng mga sealant or wax, properly prepped yung paint surface mo, o wala halos dumi or contaminants. kung wala kang clay o di mo balak mag clay, pwede naman wash>dry>kaio then apply ksg. bago mo I-polish ng kaio dapat mahugasan ng mabuti else yung mga dumi kapag kumapit sa applicator pad mo at buffing cloth, gasgas abutin mo niyan. after application ng kaio pa lang, dapat makinis at makintab na tingnan. after polishing ng kai, you can wash it again para matanggal yung kaio at maganda ang kapit ng ksg. or kung tamad ka maghugas pwede mo rin punasan ng rubbing alcohol diluted sa water 50:50. then apply mo yung ksg manipis na manipis lang or else mahirap I-buff kung makapal lagay mo. after buffing the ksg, wait ka ng mga 4-8hrs to cure then pwede mo na patungan ng nanoglos o 3m. the ksg if properly applied and let cured to bond to the paint surface can last many washings. in between your next washings, pwede na yung nanoglos/3m. after some months at nawawala na ulit kintab pwede ka na ulit mag kaio/ksg application.

There should be no dirt during buffing. You should only be removing wax/sealant. If there is dirt, you did not washed your car properly.

What I learned is that even brand new car straight from the dealer needs to be clayed due to embedded contaminants. Obviously, a 1+ year old car will have them.

In order to get optimum show car finish, the paint surface should be as smooth as glass.

Clay will remove the embedded contaminants while polish will remove the swirls. Then you apply wax/sealant to protect this clean, smooth surface and give the shine or look you are after.

Before using any product, be sure to learn what type of product it is and how to use it.

    Klasse All-In-One = Polish + Sealant (Step 2 + LSP)
Klasse Sealant Glaze = Sealant (LSP)
Microtex NanaGLOS = Carnauba Liquid Wax (LSP)
Collinite #915 = Carnauba Paste Wax (LSP)
Collinite #845 = Carnauba Gel Wax (LSP)

*LSP = Last Step Product. This is the finishing step. There is no need to put any product on top of LSP. However, some people prefer to use 2 LSP together, e.g. Sealant + Wax.

Again, remember that the paint can only hold fixed amount (thin layer actually) of wax/sealant. If you put too many layers, you will just be wasting product as you will remove most of them during buffing.

Washing will not remove swirls, even if you do it multiple times. Swirls can only be removed by polishing (e.g. KAIO) which have abrasive components. It will remove some paint (clear coat). If you do not want to remove paint, you can hide swirls by filling and sealing the surface (e.g. NanoFiL and/or NanoSiL). After which, you can apply the sealant/wax (e.g. KSG).

For real show car finish, you need to clay the car before applying KAIO.

    Klasse All-In-One Hand Application

    1. Before you apply, wash and dry. Your vehicle should have any surface contaminants removed, and be towel dried for optimum product effectiveness. Buffing a wet area will cause unsightly streaks. If you still notice any rough spots on your vehicle, using a clay bar to remove the deeply embedded contaminants will make a phenomenal difference when you apply the Klasse All-In-One. The preparation is definitely worth it in the long run.

Not sure what you mean. Are you removing the old wax (Stage 2) or buffing off the new wax (LSP)?

Buffing off ng new wax sir.

KAIO+Collinite 845 o KAIO+KSG? Halos same price lang kasi sila eh.

I haven't tried Klasse and Collinite yet. I am using Meguiar's UP + UW. According to the link you posted, the recommended combo is either KAIO+KSG or KAIO+Collinite 845. KAIO is a pre-wax cleaner + sealant pala, not a polish. It will strip the old wax and make swirls less visible (but the swirls are still there). You can also use it alone as LSP.

Hi guys. Are there good dual action polishers available in our local hardware stores? I've seen a Porter cable 7424xp and Griots Garagr Polishers being sold online. The caveat is that both are 110v. I wouldn't want to bother with a transformer though. I prefer 220v.

i'm surprised na kahit twice mo na hugasan ay nangingitim pa rin pamunas mo? as red_one and i mentioned, wala na dapat dumi sa buffing cloth during waxing stage. else kung may dumi, indication na nag-aapply ka ng wax na madumi pa ang paint surface mo. kwestiyon is paano ka ba maghugas ng sasakyan mo sir? (read about 2 bucktes method sa "tamang OC thread") instead of using sabon, try using car shampoos like microtex wash and wax, you can either use wash mitts or foams. after washing, dry it using microfiber towels or chamois. after washing, wala na rin dapat dumi yung paint surface. kaya nakakapagtaka na during waxing nangingitim pa rin pamunas mo

Sir ganun talaga eh . Lagi kong winawax yung hood after wash, yung iba every 3 washes.

Microtex wash and wax gamit ko sir, tapos washmitt.
