Any idea kung pano i "restore" yung mga MF towels ko? Winawashing machine lang kasi but hindi pinapaarawan, di na sya fluffy like new. Or maybe I should just buy a new set of MFs?

What detergent or soap do you use to wash the towels?

Check the finish closely, or under direct sunlight - I would bet, 95% of the time, that you'll see swirls, RIDS and water-spots on the paint.

This is an example. The car looks shiny from a distance. But under a high power halogen light, it has lots of swirls.

right side polished, the other half unpolished

Champion detergent.

Hahaha, baka yun yung dahilan Hmmm, try this - use some Surf Liquid detergent, and add a cup of vinegar into the water. This should help loosen any residue on the towels. Also, soaking them in warm water will help as well.

Oo haha!

Alright I'll try that. Dati I soaked them in a pail of water diluted with around 500ml of vinegar, pero ganoon pa rin. Thanks sir.

I've also read that some people boil their MFs to restore them to softness. Seems pretty extreme, but if you're considering throwing them out and getting a new set, I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try

    * Sir Umi.... thanks on your regimen tip (by the way) it has been 4 weeks from my last application of 476s and beading is still there after ng ulan kanina..

unfortunately, after my last carwash (last sunday) observed some dirty-water / libag marks on my van.. white kasi so obvious agad... sheesh... siguro nga dahil sa ulan ng ulan last week.

i guess i need to go back to using cleaner wax muna to remove those libag marks..

but.. thanks again for the tip... dapat pala binili ko na din yung other can mo ng 476s for my backup supply.. hahahaha!

Or any other products layered over the 476?

    *sir umi
Masisira na ata fibers nun. Pero I might try it sa lumang Microtex Plush ko. Not totally boiling siguro, hot water lang. Hehe.

hi sir chickselog - no OCW sir.. I was given a sample by sir umi din.. (thank sir umi sa sample!) but didnt got the chance of trying it out yet... still and long time newbie on detailing/waxing/etc..

but here's what I did as my first experience with 476s... to share na din po. with your indulgence

November 22 afternoon - carwash then Meguiars Cleaner Wax then NanoGloss
November 23 morning - after NanoGloss curing - applied 476s
November 26 - no carwash due to trip to laguna tried NanoSliq on 1 door.. observed not that shiny as compared to other panels.. maybe kulang lang ako sa buff.. but i didnt continue to apply on all panels.. just to observe lang din...
    December 4 - carwash only
December 11 - carwash only - but this time.. i saw those 'libag marks' na... but beading is still seen circular in shape and easy to blow-off on the hood. but its not that shiny anymore din..

Nice regimen.

looking for a DA myself din sir! pati powerwasher... instead of going to the carwash and being so "OC" sa carwash boys.. ill have it DIY na lang.. if i have the proper hardware..

gusto ko kasi kung mag lilinis lang.. eh siguraduhing malinis.. wala naman pa akong high pressure water to remove those stubborn mud under those wheel wells..

going on a slightly long leave after xmas... back to square 1 on my regimen.. nakaka bwiset yung libag marks but that's life... at least makapag-pawis at banat ng buto.. ahihihihi!
