paps, since palapit na summer ..ok na ok
mag steps 123
1) Mothers Pre-wax Cleaner
2) Mothers Sealer and Glaze
3) Mothers Pure Carnauba Wax
tapos mag step 2 and 3 ka na lang monthly....if sinisipag ka eh weekly or every other week yung step 3 (LSP) mo for maintenance..
before ka mag steps 123...mas ok if mag-asphalt remove and clay ka...para properly prep yung surface ng auto mo...

January 11th, 2011 08:03 PM #1453Finally got a little courage to do some detailing today. I got this "scratch" a couple of hours after I got the car from the casa, 16 hours to be exact and it was a hit and run. Good thing I didn't panic and was able to get their whole plate number, color, brand and car model so 2 hours later they were tracked down. We met and their insurance company agree to pay to have the whole part replaced(good or bad idea?). Two months on, I still haven't gotten the time to have the rear bumper replaced due to my busy schedule and today genius struck. I was thinking why not practice on my rear bumper as it wouldn't matter if I screw up as it would get replaced anyways. So this is what two hours or rubbing yielded me. I used mothers scratch remover to slowly rub out the gash. I wonder how much clear coat I took off, any ideas?

Very minimal lang yan sir. Pero yung natirang black part, I suppose the paint has been chipped off, kasi yung black na yun, yun na mismo yung plastic bumper. Yung natanggal nyo naman using your polish, paint transfer lang yun (black ang nakabangga sa inyo?).
EDIT: OT, sir pwede nyo rin ata kasuhan yung nakabangga sa inyo since it was a hit and run.

Oo pwedeng kasuhan yan. Walang hiya siya.
Pareho pa kami ng Santa Fe
Anyway, kung ganyan nalang kaliit ang damage, pwede na yung repaint ng whole bumper. Pero kung may dent, mas ok kung palitan na talaga.
OT.

January 12th, 2011 01:21 AM #1458Yes sir the paint is chipped po. Black nga po yung nakabangga, kapatid ni Santa fe si Sorento.
Hindi ko na po kinasuhan since they were really sorry na hindi daw namalayan na nabangga na. The offered to have it changed naman and sabi if their insurance won't shoulder it, they will. Maayos naman po kausap and they didn't deny it, they were very sincere.
Yun nga po sir e, I want the whole part replaced. But I'm a bit scared of overspay as they would still have to paint the part to match the car. What do you think?

January 12th, 2011 06:16 AM #1460happy to help sir! lahat naman dito helpful, we all came from being noobs
just perform the whole set every 6 months...
every 2months ung Moms Step 2/Nano Gloss, Step 3, Sliq
every week ok na step 3 and sliq
also use the Spray wax in between washing para pwede mo ma stretch out ung detailing intervals mo.
also, ung tires and glass, pwedeng separate session... it's what i do... and ung glass detailing, kahit every 6 months lang din. Super aprub ung rain clear.... you'll enjoy driving in the rainy days from 40-60kph and watch the rain beads on yur windshield...
actually muntik na ko mabangga kakapanood ng beading sa rain clear... kaaliw kasi..
also... have fun! happy detailing!
