its safe as long as you use it properly, it is made of abrasives if you take a look at its chemical composition but when used the right way its not abrasive just as long as proper technique and proper lubrication is maintained

you bet it comes with great body ache, we just finished this morning at around 5:30, Ed's been detailing since 6pm and we're about to hit the hay right now, just posting some pictures of the finished product, we had to finish the car by noon today

Had to detail an old classic car of my BF's friends aunt

its an Infinity Limo Type sedan

Paint has very little water marks none that were as tough as the civic we detailed but the paint was infested with very deep swirl marks

the condition was deep enough that it required 2 passes of compounds 1 pass polish and 1 pass finishing polish for this

    Before

    After

Picture of the right door panel done and the left still uncorrected

More before after pics on the other side of the car, we weren't able to take hood and trunk shots because we were working at night and the only light we had were the 500 watts flood lights

    Before

    After

Done my experiment with the water sprayer -- doesn't work

*madkatz - Akin yung 1/4th nung hood diyan, hehe!

Will be working on my car today!!! I hope I won't need to use compounds for my swirls and scratches...

we finished at around 5:00am with polishing and around 5:30 wiping down the whole car with QD to remove dust and ready it for sealant, finished with sealant application by around 5:45 took shots and done by 6am too bad we were really tired to wait for the sun for some better shots so we had to do with whatever low light we had and take just the right amount of light so the picture is not overexposed since the sun wasn't hitting the garage

    After shots

Something me and my BF were happy to achieve, a nice direct perpendicular mirror shot considering it wasn't too bright then, save the help of the white wall behind him

By the way, did i mention that the car was dark green? doing a glaze step and topping it with WG DGPS really helped make the paint look darker

    mam madkatz at sir ed.

Grabe tinapos nyo pala overnight hehehe.

What a great car. 10+ years na orange peel pa rin ang paint. Even after we did 1 pass each of compound and polish

WOW! Parang ang layo nung gawa ko dun sa hood sa gawa niyo :P Iba na talaga pag mga master gumagawa :D

As for me, just finished 8 hours straight (may snack break naman) detailing my car. Grabe and sakit ng katawan ko!

    My regimen:
    wash
    remove tar

    per panel:
    wax
    Meserna Intensive Polish (PC)
    Meserna Final Polish (PC)
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant (hand applied then PC buff)
    tomorrow morning: second layer sealant
    tomorrow night: 915

Ang sarap talaga mag detailing with the PC! Tanggal yung mga swirls and scratches, sa wakas! Tomorrow I will post some pics. Got to get some rest...

Thanks for the reply, will try to look for any of these items. In the meantime, I'll probably use up my FX Synwax as a sort of sealant until I get my KSG.

After several sleepless nights of wondering if I need a rotary polisher, I succumb to a sinfull indiscretion. I pre-ordered a FLEX PE14-2-150 and hoping to be one of those who is in the first 50. Can't wait to have my hands on this baby!!

SN 00001 goes to Max (Owner of PBMA), 00002 goes to Mike Phillips, 00003 will be given to Pres. Obama, 00004 to the VP, 00005 to NASA, the rest is for everybody else.

parang pwede na. i'll buy one next sale. i don't know if it's this or the aceH model that has another hole for pressure release.

1:6 microtex shampoo and water on a foam cannon at max gives 5mm/sec max. runoff on a vertical surface. it does foam/paint it white though. the runoff slows down to a halt and lastly it looks like the above pic.

are those remaining swirls too deep? were the door guards polished afterwards? great job, moreso because it was done throughout the night. how did you get into that predicament? don't forget to take your vitamins.

    great job.

p.s. don't forget to get a milder polish like SwirlX on your next rotary session. UC is quite at the far end of the abrasive line.

Oh no! Need to wait 30-45 minutes pala before buffing off the WG DGPS! Crap. Oh well, one more pass after lunch. (My wife will probably learn how to use the porter cable very soon -- on my face!!! )
