Guys, Meron ba sainyo gumagamit ng wheel brush to clean the wheels? Is it scratch free? I'm planning to buy one pero yun nakita ko yun sa Mothers and Meguiars, I was scared that it might cause scratches in my wheels.
Thanks sir. BTW nice detail! Inggit ako. Gusto ko rin gawin yan sa EK namin kaso wala ng clearcoat.
Sir I suggest you use a cheap wash mitt instead, yung mga tig 90 pesos sa ACE.Not only mas way lesser ang chance na magasgasan mags nyo but also madali rin since parang kamay mo na mismo naglilinis. HTH
you don't need DP to clean your MF towels properly, there are a lot of ways to clean them, like the distilled vinegar suggestion, we've tried it before and it works wonders we just stopped using that method because everytime i buy one people at home just end up using it so i have to buy another one for the next load
suggestion for load is 1/2 to 1 cup distilled vinegar to 5 gallons of water
you might need to use an aggressive clay, there are a lot of different clay grades and some or really really hard and aggressive that you could actually see some very old paint spots and transfers slowly abrade away, its like literally wet sanding the overspray but it is still gentle on paint
if you ask me, if he's sincere enough with his apologies i think that would be enough already, i mean hey everybody makes mistakes, what matters is that they learn from it, but if you're really bothered about it then try to ask for a small sum in return, but if it would be me as long as if he's sincere i won't ask for anything just hope he learns
you should wash the MF first and let it dwell in soap water first before you soak it with vinegar, and finally rinse it off with cold water, warm water is good for soaking the MF towels with soap as this helps unclog the fibers.
if you would notice if you're dropped by my BF's place that his MF towels are still very soft pretty much like new, what he does is when he's done with the MF he immediately throws it to a bucket filled with water and soap solution so that the polishes and waxes doesn't have that much time to dry, this really helps a lot in maintaining MF cloths
well with our MF's what we do is we have a dedicated washing machine for MF towels since we go through a lot of them if a detail session or a detail gathering with our friends happen, this way we don't get lint and fibers of cotton from other clothings into the MF cloth and we also don't get chemicals and polishes in our clothes, i remember before i accidentally threw a collinite applicator pad in the washing machine and our clothes ended up smelling like wax, so since then we opted to separate them, the stuffs you see might be a cross contamination from older wash loads, if its just a few pieces like 4 or 5 what i would do is just hand wash them on a separate pale and air dry after, this way no mixing of dust, chemical fibers and etc
i agree with this one, its not much of a price once you know what you are getting i mean take a look at it this way
16oz of NSC and LLS will give you about at least 40 applications, lets say you do double coats of LLS, that gives you 20 applications of double coat, and lets say you abide by what BB advices regarding LLS being applied quarterly, 20 double coats is already 5 years of superior durable protection
my BF was telling me earlier that he was surprised with someone here, i won't mention who, but was able to use only 8ml for a whole car including wheels, thats like 60 applications already
EO is good enough, its not bad, one of the better OTC's but IMO its only good on silvers and golds, it has great cleaning ability for a cleaner wax and it fills decently but if you compare it to darker colored vehicles Nano Glos takes the cake
it all depends on what the color of the paint is, if you could tell me i would recommend waxes for you
Actually for removing waxes and sealants, basically anything that doesn't need pressure to remove, those MF's area already great, but try to use those MF's to remove gummed on polishes and compounds and you will see it will actually instill scratches, those MF's are ok for light pressure usage but with moderate you might be a little bit disappointed, thats why we have a lot of MF's at home depending on the purpose of use, for QD and easy wax removals those are fine, but there's also a reason why we invest on the much more expensive MF's from Microtex and from abroad, BMW and mercs clear coat are very sensitive and believe me the MF's we use for them are very expensive hehe
