October 15th, 2010 04:34 PM #64Actually even just one coat of SG can already make the paint bead, try to check out some cars where BB applied Opti-guard, some of them still bead paint even after some washing, even with those cars that we do, we let it cure for 24 hours and wash it again before applying wax before releasing it
if it requires two coats to get beading then there might be something wrong with how you apply it, you might be removing it with too much pressure
LLS requires a drying time and a curing time
AIO does require a drying time but requires a minimal curing time
drying time is when you apply a product and leave it before you buff it off
curing time is when you've buffed it off but you still allow the product to throughly cure and thoroughly dry inside and out
with LLS you apply it on the whole car and wait for the 1 hour drying time before you buff it off and then allow 24 hours to cure
with AIO you apply it and you can remove it immediately, you still have to allow 1 to 4 hours to cure if you are applying a wax OR you can go straight to LLS since thats how its designed to work just like what indiej said
with removing LLS don't use too much pressure, if you're using too much pressure to remove it then there's two things that might be wrong, either you applied too much it becomes a paint to remove, or you might need to add a QD and a softer MF cloth
we've been using LLS/KSG for years and the one thing we usually notice is it either sheets or beads but the effectiveness of the product doesn't change with multiple application, you might have missed some spots that made the coverage uneven or you might be buffing too hard you're actually removing them

October 15th, 2010 04:37 PM #66i would recommend you use water first, if its not yet removed then use APC especially if the product isn't oily, if the product on the pad is really oily then you can use the degreaser but be sure to rinse it thoroughly after, any degreaser left on the pad once not rinsed thoroughly would degrade the foam

ay ganon pala with AIO...may curing time na 1 to 4 hours before apply yung LSP or the sealant...mali pala yung practice ko..
pero ms madkatz would it be better kung wait ng 4hours or 1hr is more than enough?
meron kasi ako nababasa before that says...the longer it sits to your paint the better..is this pertain to curing time?

October 15th, 2010 05:00 PM #68ok let me repeat
with AIO if you are applying anything else other than LLS, it has a 1 to 4 hours recommended curing time, but if its LLS you are putting after, then there's no need to wait
4 hours is definitely better if you are applying a different sealant than LLS, but if its LLS then it would not matter since applying it immediately after and waiting for 4 hours would just yield the same results
yes thats curing time, AIO has a lot less chemical needed to cure compared to LLS which requires 24 hours

a good enough but not the best explanation for KSG, im still trying to look for the original one coming from the manufacturer, but its translated from german so i'll try to look for it again and post it, this should be enough in the mean time
