I usually wax my car with 476s every 2 weeks... now that i got OCW, i'm trying to see how long it will take before i do another detail..

Here's a pic of a 3-week old 476s applied on my car, maintained wit OCW and Sliq. pasensya na't camera phone lang to mga idol...

This coming weekend... 4th week na.

Like what JM said, clear coat safe simply means it doesn't induce marring, hazing and dulling once used, this product is a combination of different kinds of abrasives and still needs to be worked on to perform flawlessly.

its actually a great product and although it won't give you marring and hazing it would still lack the gloss so you have to follow it up with the polish which is like its step 2

its very good via hand application pretty much like Megs UC but has an oilier feel and longer working time

this is highly recommended for recessed door handles, door frames, the painted panels inbetween the grills, and etc, basically its great for doing small panels of paints that are basically hard to reach using a buffer, but again follow it up with the polish

i wouldn't really recommend this product for doing the whole car its more likely something you would use for spot treatment and degrimming

this is also one of the better scratch removers we use, better than scratchX in terms of leveling deeper scratches and RIDS

    Hope this helps

pwede kaya gamitin to pantanggal ng very small talsik ng spray paint sa body ng car? ok kaya kung wash, clay, then this product, then yung polishing ng megs din, then maybe nano, carnauba, then nanosliq?

Thank you miss Madkatz. No I understand.

Hindi ko sila pinagalitan while addressing my concern.

I wash my car and use OCW twice a week... Wednesdays and Saturdays..

pero pag umulan, I'd either hose down my car, or do a waterless wash, tpos sliq...

I just had to get over the obsession for beading.... before kc it was my basis kung may wax pa o wala.... pero with OCW kasi, the beading is lost easy, but the look and feel of it, the ease of removing dust and the sheeting of the water shows that the wax is still very much intact...

so OCW sheets. so far beading and sheeting are the primary bases for the presence and endurance of the product, but we know better to not base solely on those manifestations.

    wash and dry..
apply kerosene to whole car (due na talaga especially the lower panel)
remove kero by degreaser and rinse again with water
    dry again..

    apply carlack AIO
    apply long life sealant
wait for 24 hours (kaya I'm looking for a less curing sealant)
apply long life sealan (2nd coat)
    wait for 24 hours
    apply 915

    after two weeks wash,clay,915
after weeks ulit wash, double wax (cleaner carnauba,IPA,915)
for a fast curing LLS try to ask around for Polycharger H2O.

    do you rinse before degreasing?

please check your claybar and cleaner wax against LLS. it's a great opportunity to experiment whenever the paint is bare of detailing products.
try on lower rear doors. doors are shiny even on a less detailed state when viewed at 30 degrees or less.

no need for IPA after cleaner carnauba.

with OCW you just use it like a QD but on a clean surface, you apply some on the MF first and about just one spray on the panel will do, this will already cover a lot of paint area

as with the Zaino question, it depends z5 can be layered immediately after doing the whole car and removing it from the whole car, once you done, you're ready to layer again starting from the first panel you previously layered, but this is best if left for 4 hours based on experience with the zfx, with Z2 if needs about 4 hours minimum for extended durability and 8 hours recommended, the producer says it can be layered immedaitely after doing the whole car but i don't that it doesn't stack as much when done this way

thanks! Applied 2 coats of Z5 at 1hr intervals and after 2hrs 1 coat ng z2. Very deep gloss kesa klasse twins. Then ocw lsp ko

yung zaino kaya mabilis mag cure may ihahalo pa na zfx flash cure additive. Pag wala nun same din ng klasse yung curing time.

Mga detail masters...i've been following this thread a past few months na..gigil na akong magdetail kaso d2 sa Iloilo hindi ko makita ung mga brands ng waxes & sealants na sinasabi nyo like collinite, meguiars, mothers etc. Available lng dito are Formula1 carnauba wax, turtle wax at waxxco.

    TIA.

i'm not sure about their polishes. i advise you take caution because these make corrections on your clearcoat.

the waxes are ok but aren't very durable as collinite.

you may have noticed the steps suggested. choose your products accordingly.

    Know thy detailing products.

    check out autobisyo website.
also check out the first of this series http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18901 or read about the products available in your locale in detailing forums.

i'd say this series of DTfN gradually delves deeper as it is continued. you'd learn a lot from them. i backread twice already. i'll join you on another backread if you want.
