parang squeegee for the whole surface ng ride mo. (hindi lang sa glass...)
ah ok..so it eliminates wiping off the water after you wash it...hmm..for 500bucks is it worth it? i mean would it last long? mmya kasi biglang mag-harden up yung rubber?
some folks swear it by it, some don't. I think Black Magic uses it all the time sa shop nila...
brand-new Cal Water Blades even go for P1,400.00
yikes! mura na pala in-offer sa akin ng bigberts here..hmm...i might buy it na..

blackmagic,
ah ic..ok..will DEFINITELY drop by one of these days..konti na lang ang time ko for this summer to start up detailing our old car. sabi nga ng kapatid ko ipa-detail ko muna sa inyo and then maintain na lang..
zechs: I use the Cali Water Blade on my Windows, It does a better job than a regular squeegy... I don't use it on the body tho have lots of towels already.
I've been reading on what people have been saying about the cali car duster and water blade. So far, everything has been positive!
I just ordered the "waterblade" along with mom's claybar from BigBerts! I'm also sourcing a cali car duster. Whenever I'm at Ace or at True Value, I can't stop looking at the B&D ROPs and polishers. (Kaya lang wala na ako pera. ehehehe) Methinks I got the detailing bug now...
BTW, any idea on how mom's clay bar lasts? I mean how many cars can it go through (if the cars are all cleaned properly) before it can be deemed unusable (of course without dropping them)... Claybars can get pretty dirty from pictures I have seen....
patopig,
Here is a guide for you. We normally use up 1 Mother's claybar every 4-5 mos. With a load of 1-3 cars, it should last you at least 2 yrs. not unless you drop it hehe. What we do is we slice the Mom's claybar in half. 1 pc lasts us the 4-5 mos. You could slice it up into 2-3 pieces then use 1 piece at a time.
Blackmagic: Where can I buy the Moms Claybar (only) without the cleaner wax and QD?
Blackmagic: Great tip sir! Thanks! Excited na ako subukan sa car ko! Ako pala yung tumawag and nagdeposit kanina! Thanks uli!
ganda talaga ng Mom's claybar! matigas kasi yung sa Soft99 hehehe. nga pala, don't ever drop the claybar. ang bilis maka-pick-up ng dirt.. BTW, soapy water (car shampoo + water) can act as a lubricant.. some dilute their QD's for this purpose too. (1:1)
ILD: I think you can work something out sa Autoplus regarding that..
yup.. it safely removes contaminants. tapos you knead the bar again to get a fresh piece. you can re-use it again this way again and again. make sure to use a lubricant when using clay.
you should clay after washing your car.
Hmm.. So the process would be like
1) Wash and dry
2) Clay
3) Polish
4) Wax
right? BTW If use soap and water as lubricant for the clay, I guess that would mean I would need to rinse the soapy water off right? Or can I just wipe it off (since I think that's the way to do it with clay + QD)?
Your steps are correct. And yes you have to rinse off to wash away all dirt and grim.Originally Posted by patopig
so ang steps dapat is,
1. wash and dry
2. clay and repeat step no. 1
3. polish
4. wax
where do the cleaner wax comes in? right before no. 3?
