I asked a friend from Singapre to buy Klasse twins. I bought Meg's Water Magnet towel as well. Costs me 590 for the meg's...checked out the local price...it's almost 1200... WOW!

grabe talaga ang cost nyan dito.

anyway, try to get some layers ng SG muna before you decide to top off with a carnauba. kasi, if you do, no more layers of SG after.

i've seen lots of eagle one carnauba wax cleaner at ace hardware.. ok ba ito? anong good combi na pang polish nito if ever? Do i need a sealant pa na wax or the cleaner wax itself would do.

    Hi! Need help!

Can a proper car wash be done with just a pail and tabo?

We live in a place where there's little to no water pressure, the water just pretty much trickles out of the hose, so we have no choice but to make use on a pail and tabo when washing our cars.

Is there any way that we can still wash our cars properly given these conditions, or will we have to resort to always bringing our car to car washes?

The thing is, we can buy all the proper auto care products, but we can't do anything about our water situation =s

looking forward to your advice! thanks!

any cheap tire dressing that you would recommend?

i notice the gurus aren't suggesting tire black. whats the advantage of other detailing tire dressing that normally comes in spray containers? what are the pros and cons?

EO Tire dressing spray costs 500+, that's a bit expensive =)

how about armor-all tire foam? it costs in the same range as tire black (200).

    thanks.

Im no guru but armor all tire foam for me is okay. Easy to apply and gives a nice shine that last for 3-5 days.

yung EO Wet Tire Shine... Sulit na sulit!!! kahit 500+ sya sulit talaga. the black shine will last you over 1 week vs 2-3 days during rainy season for tire blacks.

archerwin, thanks. i'll keep EO Wet Tire Shine as one of my options.

Another question, what do you use to polish minor/light swirls from chrome bumper (Pajero)?

dont use those cheapo tire blacks.. laki potential nyan for tire sling.. kakapit sa surface ng ride nyo.

yung tire foam naman hindi ko sa tires ginagamit. more sa engine bay. hehehe. noticed kasi that it tends to brown the tires after a while.

Megs Hi-Endurance and EO ang umiikot sa kin ngayon.

How do you apply the tire foam sa engine bay sir? Do you use a brush or something? I will just use my armour all foam for that purpose. hehe.

dehadista, what if you apply tire black quite thinly?

what other cons does tire black have?

hmm aside from tire sling, mas malalaki amount ng petroleum distillates (very harmful to the tire) ng mga cheapo tire black.

you should apply tire dressing thinly. and make sure to wipe off the excess after 10-15 mins.

    question again...

here's my prod line up when detailing my car:
    1. wash - bigberts
    2. clay - moms
    3. polish - autoglym SRP
    4. sealant - soft99 geki
    5. wax - megs deep crystal carnauba, 3M perfect-it liquid wax

question: if I want to insert a glaze step, where can i insert it? after polish or after sealant? Is the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze good?

    thanks!!!

usually a glaze is used before sealing with a LSP and after polishing. 3M IHG is good medyo mahirap nga lang sa product removal.

the procedure looks ok. teka, is this your first time to use Soft99? If so, IMO, medyo overkill ka lang sa mga LSP ah. why don't you try out muna gekki (sealant) for a while and gauge its look and durability? tapos try mo naman yung wax and see what look suits you. then you can settle on your preference. that's when you go for the combos na on your next detail. (sealant / wax... etc.)

if you noticed, yung SRP is similar to AIO. so its not really a pure polish.. yan yung mga tipong combo products na.

BTW, all by hand ba 'to?

yup. all done by hand. i usually start 5:30am then finish at 12:30pm. may 30 mins na pahinga for breakfast.

what i did in my last session was wash -> spot clay -> SRP -> soft99 geki -> 3M Liquid wax result: medyo wet look. i applied it last saturday. ok pa naman until today.

previously kasi ganito: wash -> spot clay -> SRP -> moms Deep crystal carnauba, result: ok din, makintab, pero mas wetlook yung combo above. i don't know if it's bec of the 3M or the geki.

wow parang morning workout yan ah. Easy on the 3M its a b*tch to remove hehe. Maybe you can let the soft99 "cure" first before applying 3M LW.
