Thanks po sa inyo, I'll stick with SwirlX na lang

BTW guys, may bagong products ang microtex, I saw this last thursday sa ACE sa SM San Lazaro..

Microtex Edgeless Wax Applicator (a microtex suede wrapped in a sponge-like thing) for only 50 bucks.. But still IMO, a foam round applicator is still better..

And the Microtex Terry Auto-Detailing Cloth (Orange Colored Cloth, I think the surface looks like the back of the microtex plush, yung maninipis yung microfibers) for 95 bucks..

I think intro price lang tong dalawang to..Orange ang color ng price tag eh..I took a picture of it on my phone but I can't upload it cause its memory card can't be read by the card reader
    *chikselog
bought these two earlier and ginamit ko na agad sa pagwa-wax..

the edgeless wax applicator is IMO better than the TW foam applicator that i've been using because you can actually hold it with a nice grip compared to the foams na nafa-flat sa kin :P Mahirap nga lang to cguro if paste version ng wax ang gamit... i use TW platinum na liquid and ok ciang pang apply.

    plus nalalabhan ng maayos! ayos!

the orange cloth on the other is parang ung pink na version. used one to buff the wax out. the other for applying Armor-All Gel sa interior.

not bad for 250 na purchase.

*Jon: Have you had any experience in using LC's Blue, Red and Gold Pads? I'll try the orange LC pads with Power Polish next week once i get well, and im also planning on trying what they call "jeweling" but i haven't seen that much guides and articles about it, i got a Menzerna Nano polish and a Optimum Finish Polish, i was hoping you might know a tip or two when it comes to this

None yet. The softest Lake Country pad I have is a black/gray one. It rarely gets used because I do the waxing step by hand.

But... If you have the blue, red, or gold LC pads, they might be useful for your next project - jewelling the paint using your rotary. I have yet to try this technique because with a PC, it would take lots of time to do.

At any rate, I've found this guide made by Todd Helme of Proper Auto Care on the topic of jewelling with a rotary.

Proper Auto Care's Guide to Jewelling the Paint (rotary)

On the other hand, the following link relates to jewelling using a DA/RO.

    Jewelling the paint (da/ro)

Hope this helps. Get well soon.

I see..Nagulat din ako sa presyo nitong mga to, better buy one now while it's still on its intro price, especially the Terry towel..

Ano po yung mga new items na irerelease ng Microtex, may we know (kung pwedeng sabihin)? hehe..

BTW guys, where can I buy a grit guard and a lambwool/lamb's wool washmitt? Meron bang ganito sa pinas? Ano ang better, lambwool or microfiber washmitt?

*mikoboi2009 and Chickselog: hehe no ma'ams pls, we all just trying to help

*mikoboi2009: Which Moms wax are you using? Hmmm i guess if you're comparing it to Moms Step 3, i would say its a slight notch lower than Step 3 in terms of durability and gloss, as compared to other Moms products, i think that would be unfair for #26 already since its Megs basic wax but for its price i would say that this is a bang for the buck and its well worth it, If you have a daily drive then i would recommend you use Megs 26, and maybe save the Moms Step 3 for the more cared for cars.

*chickselog: i can't say for now hehehe its a surprise but i guess it would be safe to say that its more of something that you would partner with their shampoo, its no longer on the applicator towel division.

As for Lambswool there are SM Arnolds Lambswool mitts at Concord for around 400 bucks i think? I got mine at Megs for 400 as well.

As for the Gritguard i might know someone thats sells some here locally but he's too overpriced thats why i just bought mine from AG, i think he's selling it at 2k for 2 pcs.

As for Lambsool VS MF Washmitt, i would rather go with Microtex MF Washmitt, I know Lambswool is way softer but i also find that using Microtex MF Washmitt also doesn't induce swirls and scratches and its also a lot tougher IMO, I've used the lambswool when i was undergoing my training in Megs and it doesn't seem to clean the paint very well, i would often scrub the lambswool hard against the paint just to test if it really doesn't scratch the paint and true enough it doesnt but when i rinse the paint and i dry it with chamois ( i know, i normaly use Waffle Weaves but its Megs SOP to use chamois so im stuck on using it ) i still get a lot of dirts and particles on the chamois so my conclusion was that the lambswool was not cleaning the paint enough, i then went home and tried the same thing but this time with my chenile washmitt and it cleans the paint better but it also doesn't induce scratches, i tried drying it with chamois and its a lot cleaner.

Ace sells their version of chenile washmitts for a lot cheaper, but if you're after durability and safety i would recommend you just get Microtex washmitt, that or any chenile washmitt that has lots of fingers and thats soft.

*jon: thanks so much for the links, i just took a look at your detailing blog and im surprised at your detail of the CRV, its like the paint itself was jeweled especially on the sun reflection shots those near the last part. Now my only problem would be to find a backing pad for the rotary that would fit my 6.5 inch blue red and gold pads since i bought them for DA and i just learned that you get better results with a rotary, thanks again

Anyways, thanks for the inputs about the washmitts and gritguards, actually nagdalawang isip kasi ako kung yung MT(Microtex) MF washmitt ang bibilhin ko nung napanood ko yung video ni mike phillips na pinost dito sa detailing forum..Lambswool kasi ginamit niya sa video na yun.. Thanks again for the clarification

*mikoboi2009: QD's are used after LSP's to remove left over wax/sealants but QD's are not considered LSP's, QD's are used for quick touch ups only lets say you want to remove dusts and some very light contaminants in the paint. Now as for you question regarding Topcoat, if you're already using Step 3 then you don't have to use Topcoat anymore. Both Step 3 and Top Coat are considered LSP's. So its either you want a carnauba LSP Step 3, or you want a synthetic polymer LSP Top Coat, If its protection you're after then using just one of these would already do the job since layering both these two would not contribute that much to durability and protection based on my experience, but if you're after added gloss and added depth then putting on Top Coat over a coat of Step 3 would definitely give a slight boost to your cars appearance although it doesn't last that long.

*mikoboi2009: hmmm that would depend on what look you want. Megs Hot Shine Tire Gel and Gold Class Endurance gives a nice and glossy wet look, its good for showing off but sadly it doesn't last that long, you could also get an All Season Dressing from Megs Simex, same appearance as both i've mentioned but lasts a little longer, its water based so it should be a lot safer as compared to oil based ones but the down side is that you have to buy a spray bottle for it. Mothers Tire Shine is also nice, very economical a slight notch down as compared to its Megs counterpart but definitely a lot cheaper and it already comes with a sprayer so using it makes it a breeze. You could also opt for what BB uses the Red Carpet Tire Cream, its in a plastic can and you apply it by using a sponge, its more on the matte finish so your tires don't look all glossy and wet but it gets more of a brand new look, the Mothers i've mentioned also gives this look.

Saan po makakakuha ng Red Carpet Tire Cream? Imported po ba ito? How much po does a Mother's Tire Shine cost?

BTW, P299.75 po pala yung Simple Green na APC sa Handyman..Didn't buy it yet..Tantsahan lang po ba ang pag-dilute dun?

*chickselog: I think i got my Red Carpet Tire Cream from BB for 175 bucks, and one plastic container already goes a long way since you use this sparingly i doubt its imported but as far as i know only BB sells this stuff, I got my Mothers Tire Shines from the US when i had a balikbayan box filled up with detailing materials and there's i think 3 kinds of Tire Shine from Mothers, but basically they're all the same for me. I think i saw a FX Tire Shine for 500+ bucks at SNR last time i was there.

As for the Simple Green you could search their website for the different dilution ratio's but for your problem i would suggest you try a 1 part solution 4 part water concentration to try it on your wiper, as for cleaning the interior you could go up to 1:10 and its still quite strong. i personnally use 3 different kinds of dilutions, 1:4 for those tough stains, 1:10 for interior carpet and other high use areas, 1:15 for plastics and vinyl and other easier to clean items.

175 bucks only?? Wow..How big is the container of the Tire Cream? Grabe ang dami palang pwedeng bilhin sa BB at very affordable pa..

Which looks better po? As you said on your reply to mikoboi, Tire Cream from BB makes your tires look bnew, Armorall on the tires or the Tire Cream by BB? If only I had time, pumunta na talaga ako dun sa BB to check out the items that they sell..

Hmm, how do you measure po the dilution of the Simple Green? I hope that 1:4 will already remove the watermarks on the wiper arm and restore the trims to black again..

May nakatabi kasi akong newer vios sa parking, wala pa syang plaka, kinumpara ko yung wiper arm and trim, ang layo ng difference

    Anyways thanks po muli

*chickselog: Just measure it using small measuring cups or small containers, what i do is i use a measuring cup and fill up 1 liter containers at home with the different dilution ratio's that i use which are the 3 i've mentioned, and then when one plastic liter container is finished i just move the spray bottle head to the next.

I asked some of my friends that are in the car scene and some if not most of them just have the wiper parts repainted and this time with a thick coat of clear coat, they say its not expensive and it looks really nice way better than having it re-dyed where if you have it re-dyed chances are it would become white again, but thats what they said

As for the tires question my votes would definitely go to the Tire Cream, its not that big actually but its enough to cover a lot and i mean a lot.
