    ILD,

di pa eh. somehow i like application by hand. workout pa. pero if ever baka BnD. lets see kung may budget pa. whats your detailing combo btw?

  5. #5
I have the BnD KP600. Before I do a 3-step - Clay, Megs Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner/Mothers Step 1/Bigberts Liquid Shine, Mothers S & G, Mothers Carnuba. Took me the whole day, nakakapagod. Now I just 2-step pag may time, Mothers Cleaner Wax, 3M Perfect-It Show Car Wax. For maintenance I wax around twice a month.

if ever, I try to avoid using the BnD. simply put, hindi kasi variable speed. I only use the rotary when it comes to surface corrections. masyadong matagal sa ROP. however, final finish ko palagi gamit ko ROP..

Honestly, when it comes to applying stuff, I prefer using a machine. 5-10 minutes lang. so definitely, more curing time, more time to apply layers.

so for the detailers out there, mention naman your combos and products. fave ko ngayon ang soft99 together with klasse. in between, i'm trying out megs speed detailer QD. a bit thick as compared to megs #34 (FI) but it gets the job done.

oh, before I forget to mention... maganda nga pala yung Microtex MF... sarap gamitin for drying.

nga pala, maganda ang Rotary. medyo steep ang learning curve but it's worth it. saves you time and results are exemplary.

dehadista: Ano gamit mong Rotary?

ILD: Makita Rotary 9227c together with Megs Pads (cutting, polishing and finishing). Medyo may kamahalan nga lang talaga yung foam pads if you get them here sa Pinas. I'd rather use the big pads instead of them small ones..

    LC oks din.

ganda talaga ng Microtex MF! talo yung Euro-Reilly hehehe

Clavel: Bili ka ng 3M foam pads, kabitan mo ng Velcro backing tape oks na yan. Pwede mo gamitin pang apply ng wax, or a cleaner wax.

Fellow detailers, do you buy your QDs by the gallon? Saw the Megs QD... its costs around P2400/gallon , ang mahal pala. I wonder if BlackMagic still has an Eagle One QD.

You can try Mothers, they have a full line up from leather cleaners to conditioners. Also don't forget the All Purpose Cleaner for your interior detailing.
