*aejhayl17: Either thats scheduled for Glass Scrub, or worse comes to worse, Glass polishing already, it involves using acid to soften the water spots and using a compound to remove the stains
haha don't be shy, go ahead and text him, i already texted him a heads up regarding your windshield problem and he said just bring it over next time
the next detailing EB would be this sunday i think? we don't have any schedules for that day so far.
hehe regarding KAIO and SRP, actually they are pretty much the same they are both cleaner sealants, KAIO utilizes chemical cleaners white SRP utilizes mechanical cleaners, meaning KAIO removes stains using chemical, SRP removes stains by using ultra fine abrasives if im not mistaken
KAIO is a lot more economical compared to SRP because a little KAIO goes a long way, and its also a lot easier to apply and remove. SRP is a little trickier to apply since it sort of dries really fast, and its a little sticky if you ask me, but the good side with SRP is that it can really remove ultra fine swirls and scratches, and IMO it produces a sharper image and reflection where as KAIO has a warmer look. Both are really great products and both are designed to be used with another product as a top sealant KSG for KAIO and Ultra Gloss Protection for SRP, if you ask me which is better KAIO + KSG or SRP + UGP, two hands down i would say Klasse twins are better, because UGP doesn't really have much of an edge against KSG especially in terms of durability and protection, but SRP VS KAIO, i would say SRP wins a little margin in terms of looks, like i said its very good at giving those really sharp reflections and SRP as a stand alone product is already good i just really don't see why the second step UGP was a major failure.
So to sum it all down
removing stains = KAIO
ease of use = KAIO
gloss and reflections = SRP
protection and durability = KAIO
slickness = SRP
aha! So yung SRP hindi advisable for monthly use?
And what's UGP?
Sorry noob parin.. :twak:
thanks sa pag welcome ^_^ .. dami ko nanaman nalaman today haha araw araw may natututunan dito...
pero yung iba hindi ko gets.. like SRP at iba pa hehe
question...
ok lang ba hindi ako gumamit ng cleaner wax??
NXT and collinite lang plan ko kasi... sealant and protection lang silang dalawa diba?
*migz dito na ako nag tanong ha baka na aaburido kana sakin eh hahaha
anyone tried AG SRP then topped by M21? ano kaya resulta....
balak ko kasi carwash and clay then. pag kaya na ng AG SRP yung swirls ayos na.
1. swirl x
2. AG SRP
3. M21
sana maganda results nitong gagawin ko...
edi maganda siguro AG SRP tapos klasse on top of it...hehe![]()
addict na addict na pare.. biglang dumating si migz nag karon ng susi para mas ma adik ako lalo hahahaha

*weszt: the only swirls that SRP can remove are the really REALLY fine ones, for the deeper ones you need to polish for that, M21 actually has some filling abilities for a sealant and is good at covering swirls for up to 3 to 4 washes
I haven't tried SRP with m21 but they should be ok with each other since they are both polymer based, KAIO and SRP might have bonding issues because KAIO is acrylic based and SRP's cleaning properties might actually just remove KAIO and nullify its protection, KSG on the other hand might also have bonding issues because KSG is also acrylic based and usually the harder protection should go in first which means KSG first before SRP if we follow that rule but SRP might also remove KSG, as for KSG bonding over SRP it might bond but im putting my chances on KAIO and KSG and SRP and UGP since those products are really made to bond with their designated partners. m21 is a stand along sealant BTW thats why im quite confident it could bond over SRP

Its ok to use it every month but its gonna be overkill, the ultra fine abrasives are much like Step 2 ultra fine abrasives its that safe for the paint its just that instead of using chemical SRP uses abrasive to clean and shine the paint pretty much like a facial scrub, its just the difference in terms of cleaning method and components used
UGP = Ultra Gloss Protection = this is basically the follow up to AG SRP or the KSG counterpart but for me this one underperforms unlike AG SRP
SRP already contains some polymers in it for protection so UGP basically just adds a little gloss and protection unlike KSG which adds a lot more to KAIOs already good protection
SRP = Autoglym Super Resin Polish, its a cleaner sealant thats great for minor swirls and improving and achieving the mirror like shine
its ok to not use a cleaner wax if you'll be using NXT and collinite, but if you're planning on using sealant or making the wax bond to the paint thoroughly then my first suggestion would be to clay the paint and then use a cleaner wax, or use a cleaner wax, how well the wax sticks to your paint is also determined by how well you prepare you paint to accept the wax, cleaner waxes can remove those oily films in the paint that can't be removed by washing alone, have you ever seen roadfilm on you windshield? its when you turn the wiper on and see an oily film on the windshield and even if you wash you car its still there, that road film is caused by the pollution in the air and byproduct of petrol based products, its worse when you're traveling on the road at higher speeds and its drizzling and that water from the car in front of you gets on your car, this is the main cause of roadfilm and it can't be removed via washing alone, you need cleaner waxes to remove these, because im quite sure the wax will not bond to the paint properly if you have roadfilm on your car thats why cleaner waxes are recommended prior or as an alternative to waxing and its also why double waxing service from detailers are very popular nowadays. so bottomline if you want the NXT or collinite to last a week or two then go and just wax it, if you want it to last even longer then use a pre-wax cleaner or a cleaner wax at least, you don't have to do it every month anyway, quarterly is good and its quite cheap actually
collinite is good for protection and durability, it can also be a sealant in the sense that it lasts a long time and it can lock in the looks of some waxes
NXT is great for looks and filling swirls, it also had hydrophobic technology which means it can bead water nicely not until your first wash when it starts to deteriorate.
as far as i know there's no spray cleaner waxes that actually works thats around and still in circulation, you're better off using what we call a cleaning QD, its a QD with good cleaning functions that can remove oils and dirt easily from the paint without harming the wax but these are also not that strong against some of the worse pollutants out there, cleaning Qd's can at times help remove road film but not 100% of it
cleaner waxes are actually a combination of cleaners and waxes, its like a pre-wax cleaner and a wax combined into one, pre-wax cleaners as the name states cleans the paint without offering any protection, it makes the paint clean enough to fully bond with the wax offering better durability, cleaner wax is basically a pre-wax cleaner that leaves a small hint of wax behind.
