has anyone here tried the car wash near Big Bert's BF Homes? The President Advanced Auto Detailer, behind the Pares joint.

How about Carchitect, BF din sa Elizalde?

Actually, dati din ako napapaisip sa BGC. I mean, the land there is effing expensive with a going rate of Php200,000+/sqm so I'm pretty sure there won't be an actual detailing center near the area. What about the surroundings though?

IMO, your best bet are the ones in Makati.

Just had my car wash there earlier this afternoon. I'll post a detailed review within the week. My experience was relatively a positive one.

Hindi na ako makahintay sa reply sa tanong ko... so I went ahead and visited the area, and indeed Meguiars is there. Car wash rates are very reasonable, if not "cheap" for BGC area. The more elaborate detailing services are kinda expensive though, even more so than the popular shops mentioned in this thread. But they did a great job on my car -- fast but quality work, efficient with good number of staff that worked on the car -- so it's well worth it. Plus it's not the most popular shop, so I didn't have to go through the hassle of a long queue.

Si Meguiar Philippines ba may hawak? If yes, then I won't wonder if their services are expensive since not only do they have the name and experience to back it up but also because they need to recoup their investment due to BGC's Ayala-Avenue-like leasing rates.

This is my long awaited review of Show Car Shine Detailing in Banawe..
    Review done: Sept 15, 2014

Shop layout is straightforward. Concrete floors are a bit of a problem since the water will accumulate over time with the boys needing to drain the water after a while. While this is not a problem when I visited, I would assume that it'll be on a jam-packed day. I would also assume that car washes are at the front of the shop while those needing detailing would stay at the back since it takes more time.

The guest area is still being renovated. CR is pretty neat and tidy and even has a working bidet which is a plus for those who are in need of it. As you can see in the photo, there are a lot of products at stock. We have the Klasse Twins of KAIO and KSG, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, a Pinnacle Paste Wax, Pinnacle XMT 180, Natty's Paste Wax, Wolfgang Fusion and DGPS, DP's Policoat, Menzerna PG & PL, and our usual Meguiar products - #07 Glaze, #105 Compound, and #205 Polish. Most expensive product on display would probably be that syringe of OptiCoat 2.0 which I wonder if sourced from Optimum PH.

On the rack, we have plenty of Microtex products. There's a NanoSliq, a NanoSil, two bottles of Glaz, and a bottle of tire black. I'm not too sure what's inside the sprayer labeled "shop glass" but it might be Invisible Glass. The sprayer labeled with "Quick Wax" is colored pink so it's probably Finish Kare 425 which is an excellent choice.

What I availed was their Basic Car Wash * Php100

    Now on to the procedures..

    The Good

Service. I have 3-4 personnel attending to my car rather than your usual 2. Now this may be because I'm the only one there but I'll note it nonetheless.

Bucket-method in washing to lessen paint marring. However, I would suggest that they install grit guards on the bottom of their rinse bucket but I cannot confirm if there was none (maybe there was).

Blower. In my entire detailing journey, I've never seen a detail shop use a blower this extensively. They literally covered the car from front to rear and even taking the water out of my hard-to-reach wheel rims. This is why I believe it deserves a special mention here.

    The Bad

Drying Towels. The procedure listed "huge waffle-weaved microfiber towels" but I was surprised that they were using chamois to dry the car. While this is not much of a surprise, I was kinda having my hopes up that they'll be bringing out two Microtex Ultras for drying use. I believe a winning combination would be a chamois to dry it up and a waffle-weaved microfiber for the finishing touches.

Wax & Sealant Pricing. You see, the prices aren't listed and when I asked their "boys" on where I can find its price list, wala pa daw SOP on those. In other words, I don't know how much their waxing is using X product. From their product selection, I would assume we would have the ability to choose which product to use. Hopefully, they can price this competitively since I love that they listed their compounding and polishing steps completely. In other words, you can just drop by.. do a compound.. then go home and do some DIY waxing at your own garage.

    Another problem is.....

    Pricing
For the pricing, I will be using industry-leader Big Berts as reference.

One thing I like is that they categorize cars by car type: sedans, midsized SUVs, full-sized SUVs, and anything-larger-than-a-full-sized-SUV rather than by size of S,M,L,XL. The reason I like this is that my Sonata is a mid-sized sedan which commonly falls under the Medium category for most detailers which means I pay more than compact cars.. using a type-sizing format helps me save money and that is always a plus on my book.

However, their general pricing census is that it's more expensive vis-a-vis.

Engine detailing is around 200-500php more than BB's flat Php1,000
    Complete Glass Polish is 1200, 1200, 1500, 1500 versus BB's 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600
    Full Detail Package is 8000, 9000, 11000, 13500 versus BB's 5700, 6300, 7500, 8500

On my favorite 2-step detailing regimen (which is the polishing stage), SSCD has their deluxe detail (exterior) for light and moderate paint defects. Since they use an all-in-one product, I will classify this as a 1-step detail. As you can see below, the pricing isn't favorable as I can get an actual 2-step detailing done at BB by adding a few hundreds more for a dedicated polish and LSP. In fact, if you have a fullsized van like a Starex, BB's 2-step is more affordable than SSCD's 1-step.

Paint Correction: Deluxe Detail (using AIO) is at 2000, 2400, 3000, 4000
    BB's 2-step detailing: 2300, 2600, 3200, 3700

    So,
Would I go here for a car wash? Yes.
Would this displace BlueMile Detailing as my favorite detailing shop? No.

So, I wonder which detailing shop do I cover next..

I'll probably cover CheckeredFlag which is also near Banawe. My friends frequent the place since they're good friends with the owner. I would accept recommendations on which shop to visit next though
