Hi BigBerts. Pansin ko lang po na parang di po gumagamit ng 2-bucket system pag wash ng tsikot? Would you incorporate this para mas iwas sa mga swirls/gasgas? Thanks po and more power!

Ah ok. Parang di ko sya napapansin sa Sucat branch nila. Will try to observe more next time I visit. I stand corrected if they do utilize it. Sa pang-dry nila, microfiber ang gamit nila di ba, not chamois?

tsong i also had a bad experience sa bf branch naman yung akin 2012 montero gtv, bale sa hood naman yung tama nung akin kakainis eh nabinyagan kahapon lang,nag ka linya ng dalawa at my maliit na chip when i showed it to the branch manager hindi daw sila may gawa nun pero every morning i check my suv if my gasgas at bago ko dinala sa kanila yun wala ko nakita kaya pag uwi ko bahay after pa car wash gulat ko may puti linya sa hood damn pinahiran ko rubbing compound nag lighten per nandun padin maliit na chip sa paint at pag tinapat sa araw kita gas gas, already pm impulzz,just waiting for his feedback, pero di nako papa car wash ulit sa big berts nakaka dala and also will warn my friends about this incident

I have a 2 week old jazz. first time ko magpacarwash then napansin ko na puro swirl marks. pumunta ako sa BB last week and they adviced me to have a paint protection at sabi nila mababawasan daw yung marks or maliliit na gasgas, ung mga gasgas na daw un is due to wrong washing technique kasi delicate daw ang black color. simula nun away ko na punasan yung jazz ko at bumalik ulit ako sa BB kahapon para magpacarwash, kasi. during carwash napansin ko na na they are using 2 mits pero sobrang dumi nung kotse di muna inispray ng tubig hangang mawala ung alikabok at ung mits na ginamit sa ilalim ng bumper at side skirt ginamit rin sa side at sa hood ko without dipping it again sa timba, i didn't reacted agad kasi i know na they know better kasi BB sila at well known sila. after the wash i noticed na dumami na ung swirl marks, maliliit na gasgas, i told na manager then they applied wax sa hood, then medyo nabawasan. when i got home tinignan ko ung likod, marami rin palang maliit na gasgas due to washing. im really disappointed with BB. honestly i don't know how to react kasi i don't want naman na magalit dun. what can i do to take away or kahit reduce lang the marks na nasa jazz ko?

This is Aarol Vasquez Branch Manager/Co owner of Big Berts. Impluzz called my attention and forward your personal message.

I would like to discuss your concern in public, we used three different wash mitts, one is for Top Portion of the car which includes Roof, All Glass panels and Hood, second wash mitts is intended for lower portion of the car and third wash mitts is intended for tires. Based on these procedures it minimizes swirl marks and scratches.

I personally check your hood; it has a stone Chip and deep scratches. Stone Chip is very unlikely near to impossible to originate in wash mitts while the scratches to your hood are very deep. Even though we know that the damage is not originated in our shop, we extend courtesy to you sir by correcting the damage, we used compound and polish to lighten the scratches.

Big Bert’s is around for almost 8 years in the business because of these principles. Responsibility and Integrity. If it’s our fault we fix the problem with customer satisfaction. If it’s not our fault we recommend solutions or even extend courtesy to the client by fixing the problem with our best capability.


My sympathy is to you sir. I am also a car enthusiast.

not to interfere but when did you notice this? if it was before cleaning, did you bring this to the attention of the owner? if it was after, did you still bring this to the attention of the owner

this way, there would be no doubt that it did not originate from your shop

i am also a customer of big berts (in ortigas) and have bought in vehicles for the optigard and regular wax already and i would appreciate it if, as a car owner, i was told before hand of such imperfections and/or damages so that malinaw sa akin that the shop is not the source of these

Most rubbing compounds are aggressive pare.. to use it on a 2 1/2 month old Accent is overkill. I suspect nasobrahan mo nga.

Why not avail of their Opticoat program? I always like Klasse/Carlack KAIO + KSG combo. I think it's also good if you're not into DIY detailing. Alternatively, you can avail of their Step 2-3 detailing and maintain it quarterly yourself if you're on a pinch.

Im browsing Big Bert's services on their website right now. Question: What's the difference between their "Optiguard new paint protection" and the basic "New car paint protection"? Laki kase ng price difference.

Optiguard is a quarterly paint-protection program with full detailing at the last session. New car paint protection is a one-time session.

Wow 2 1/2 months? You need to throw that rubbing compound into the bin, and use a more modern product like Meguiar's Swirl-X, Ultimate Polish or (if necessary) Ultimate Compound. You also don't want to be hitting each and every scratch and swirl with a polish or compound, you'll eat away your clear coat in no time at all. Since most marring is wash-induced, learn how to wash your car using proper techniques and products to minimize future swirls and scratches - check out the Tamang OC Thread for details.

Now, to clean up those scratches and hazed-up parts of your paint, you need to get an exterior detail done. The Opti-Guard program has that, but the new car protection service does not offer this (only offers an application of Carlack NSC + Carlack LLS, both of which are non-abrasive and will not remove any scratches or haze).

Went to BB Ortigas last tuesday para sa car wash ng less than a week old kong Chevy Captiva. After ma wash and pinapatuyo na, may mga nakita ko gasgas sa 4 na door.. don't know kung nakuha ko sa daan or habang pinupunasan yung auto ko. pinakita ko naman sa "supervisor" yata yun (basta yung naka Polo shirt na BB) and pina buff nalang at nawala naman awa ng diyos dahil nung tuesday eh 3 days palang saken ang Captiva ko.. napansin ko lang, parang hindi pinupunasan yung loob ng mga salamin.. ganon po ba talaga? kasi may nakasabay din ako Lexus na Hybrid at ni instruct pa niya yung tauhan ng BB na punasan yung loob.. pero overall, ok naman ang service. dun nalang ako pa wash lagi at magpaalaga ng auto. ang hirap kasi ng bagong auto. parang ayaw mo maalikabukan man lang kaya dapat talaga magaling ang shop na mag alaga...
