Can't say I care much about looks... no wait, that's a lie... I care a lot about looks!

I used to wash and wax weekly, and our driver would wash down the car every morning (I used to spend a lot on chamois...).

But in my case, with corrossive acidic rain in the metro, the excessive amount of dust and concrete powder flying around in my area (back of our house used to be a hollow block factory... ) and the amount of high speed driving and rock chips I get on the highway... as well as the fact that Laguna water has more minerals in it than a Century Egg... I've given up!

Hehe... whenever I see blackvx's Revo, na-i-inggit ako, hayuf sa set-up at linis... but then again, I'm happy spending money on other stuff like performance mods... basta lang walang major dents, okay na... I'll just wait for the next washover...

baka balak ni blackvx na sumali sa concurs? ako di naman masyadong ganun. pero one time, nagulat yung friend ko nang bigla kong sabihin na bawal kumain nang potato chips sa loob nang sasakyan. hehehe.

ako, up until now, di ko matiis na makitang madumi yung loob nang kotse namin. kahit 10 years old na sya. result: maraming ayaw maniwala na 10 years old na sya. kasi malinis at well kept sya. thanks to my dad who taught me how.

dahil dun, naging paniniwala ko na sa sarili ko na kahit luma at stock ang kotse, basta malinis ang pintura at interior iba pa rin ang dating kumpara sa mga brand new na pinababayaan lang. saka chances are, kapag well kept ang kotse inside out it's mechanically ok din.

bankai, parehas tayo. nakaka-praning talaga. actually, i wasn't aware na OC na ako sa sasakyan kasi bata pa ako naiinis ako sa mga handprints sa pintura nung luma naming sasakyan na makinis. yun pala yun. hehehe. ako, hanggang ngayon turing ko dun sa EK as if bago pa rin. imagine how much more dun sa D-Max namin. sure it's a truck pero di pa rin namin makuha yung idea na rugged sya. yun lang yata nakita kong pick up na laging malinis e. hehehehe.

sino ba namang hindi magiging ganun, e ang tagal bago nasundan yung kotse. kaya pag dating nung pick-up, ayun, turing kotse sya.

gawain namin sa bahay, basta pagka-gamit, punas agad. tanggalin agad yung mga putik. kung mahuhugasan, hugas agad. di na pinapatagal yung mga dumi.

may uncle din ako grabe sa pag ka OC ... never na never niya gamitin ang sasakyan niya pag umuulan ,kahit gaano ka importante ang lakad...bibigyan ka na lang ng pang taxi or sia sasakay ng taxi wag lang madumihan or maputikan ang ride niya
at bago sumakay ng kotse niya ..todo kaskas ng sapatos ,baka may dumi daw ang ilalim
at kahit madaling araw na umuwi hindi sia matutulog ng di pupunasan ang dumi or alikabok, may mga tao kasi ginagaya sa katawan nila ang sasakyan nila

I read this type of obsessive case some time ago eh. can't remember na pero it didn't sound good yun scientific explanation ng psychologist. sige try ko ma-remember all details. somehow, pag hindi ito nasolusyunan, something will happen when you get older ... mentally of course.

Nangyari sa kin to kahapon! Kaka wash and wax ko lang ng car tapos ambon konti! Just enough to make your car look dirty, tulad ng sabi mo! hahaha! (pero nakaka-inis pa din!)

mas bad trip pa pag hindi nature ang gumawa. yung tipong nag mamaneho ka tapos na ambunan ng garden hose yung auto mo dahil sa nagdidilig na kapit bahay. ginawa yun ng maid ng mother-in-law ko yun dati. di ako maka imik. hahahaha.

When you park your car, you notice nagkaroon ng microscratches on your trunk where the sekyu hand made contact. hehehe....

Have you noticed that there are more shinier cars than unkempt cars plying our roads recently than say, 20 years ago? My dad (& uncles) was a stickler for a well groomed car but he wouldn't go this far the way we people treat ours nowadays, no sirree.
Their generation wouldn't comprehend that their world was so much different back then and that ours' just beginning to feel the side effects of the industrial revolution. Naturally our demand for order in an otherwise worsening conditions we suffer here in the Philippines would create an OC behaviour in most of us. Cars are basically treated as a mere form of basic transportation 20 years ago, while we treat it today as an extension of our home, our private world on wheels. Even the simplest condition we encounter here everyday is unmanageable, we have no option but to go through lengths to protect what is valuable to us. This might explain why we randomly curse the weather, the neigbour's kids, & the traffic officer when these elements weren't issues back then. I tell you today choose your level of paranoia.

my mom keeps telling me not to be to attached to worldly possesions. i've really been trying to take her advice and i try to trust in God's will.
