am i obsessed?!?

ever since my first car nissan, 92 sentra EX salloon, i've been obssesed with how clean and shiny my ride looks. my color of choice was white.
my friends say my engine bay is so so clean you can eat off it.

some obsessive compulsive acts i've done regarding my rides:

1. stopping sa gilid ng espanya sa may UST to dry of my car after a short down pour.

2. pinupunasan ko yung ibang smudge ng auto ko gamit yung dulo ng mga
damit kong pan lakad which my wife really hates.

3. canceled ang gimik ko pag biglang umulan at kaka linis ko lang ng auto.

4. i armor-all under chasis of the car para malinis tingnan

normal naman sa ating car lovers yun diba? kayo din ba ganyan?

ako kahit bagong wax lang hinahayaan ko lang kahit umulan, di naman talaga maiwasan e, ayoko lang are the mud splashes

Kung diyan ka masaya, ok lang siguro.

Dito kasi the vehicles are meant to be used and enjoyed. Hindi naman sila museum pieces. Kahit yung '46 Ford ginamit na namin sa ulan.

Did this a couple of times, I prefer to wash my car compared to this.

Usually do this when there is wax residue. I usually wax during weeknights, so I always see wax residue the next day.

Di ko pa nagagawa to unless heavy rain talaga and flood prone yung pupuntahan ko.

I don't put armol all on the wheel well.

Well it all boils down on how "OC" you are, and how much time you are willing to spend cleaning your car :D

oks lang yan chong, lkung san ka masaya. meron din akong barkadang ganyan dati.. pag may puddle ang takbo mga 5kph lang para daw hindi maputikan ang wheel well.

Only did those kind of things(not armor-all the under chassis though - to me this is extreme) on my first/second/third(?) cars (and I was younger).

Now, I only do a few of those stuffs. But, I still take very good care of our vehicles.

If ever somebody touches my car (ex. security guard leaves his finger prints on my trunk as I enter the mall parking), I immediately whip out my QD spray and MF towel as soon as I park the car.

I don't join gimmicks if I know I won't find good parking. For me, good parking should be:
- COVERED
- Spacious --> safe from door dings
- Malayo sa human traffic para hindi sandalan, fingerprintan, iwanan ng softdrink cup yung kotse

I don't armor all... mahal eh. Hehehe... I just make sure my wheel wells are clean--spotless...as in pwedeng dilaan.

I guess it's normal SO LONG AS YOU CAN sustain it without damaging your sanity and your relationship with your significant others.

I agree with mazda2x medyo on the far side na. hehe. Pero syempre if it makes you happy why not and your not that busy. Maintenance ko car wash 2-3 times a week then once a week ang wax. Works for me.

regular vacuum lang po and yung 3M na dust magnet na pamunas. when there's food to be transported or eaten i switch a/c to fresh rather than recirculate para di absorb ng ac filter yung amoy.
eto po isang technic na weird po: i put a good smelling leather bag or new imported leather shoes inside para mahawa yung amoy ng leather interior ko. you have to agree there's nothing like good sweet smelling leather. sa lancer ko na MX which i sold nung 2003, medyo na over kasi amoy tindahan nasiya ng colehaan. hahha.
at least once a month i run the A/C blower on high and turn off the thermostat to avoid "amoy basahan" smell. and of course i don't use air freshener.
seems to work naman po.
