Been so busy recently so lurker mode lang ako. I've got a flex sked now finally so that I can actively participate. I'm excited with what's going on in here so by next week I'll send in my contribution if you guys don't mind- well of course you don't silly me.

Anyway, I believe *varga made a strong point re safety devices tailored for the local industry. Oh how we need it here so badly. Takot akong magdrive dito after getting used to driving sa Oz for a long time. Kaya ayun, major accident a month ago, an altis hitting the right side of my van at full speed bet Buendia and Chino Roces. I swerved immediately to the left para ma soften yung impact or else I would've gotten more than a bad concussion on my left leg and arm not counting the P130k repair cost. Anyway the young grad was at fault and this is one among many cases wherein victims like us could've utilized a "tsikot designed" safety device if such a device or similar does not exists yet in the market. And who would've been better in conceptualization of the technology other than those who've lived to tell the tale, right? So probably we can put our thinking caps on and start another thread and perhaps study Volvo's approach to safety.

good observation *ehnriko. Although it's the C & D demographics we're aiming at initially, I believe we can also cater the A & B crowd if we focus on what the phuv can do for their business/seseses. They have the money and we got the honey- corny. This criteria should guide the whole build process beginning with the exterior design. Pinahihirapan mo naman tayo sir, eh

7G as in Group of 7? Shouldn't it be Go7 if not G7 my fav monicker? Anywho this is a futuristic design wherein diff perspectives and angles can be base from. love it in other words.

    My developed phuv before:

    revised it again:

Newly installed technologies (indicated with a number on it.)

#1 Wifi adaptor (arc like figure) and a solar panel (top of the wifi adaptor) on the top of the windhield.

    - For mobile access on the internet.

#2 Sensor that monitors the front and the back of the vehicles

    - will serve as side mirror of the driver also.
    - the arc on the side are sensors for side impact crashes.
    - the front sensor will served also as stop light, and front impact indicator.

Technologies that i've posted will serve as a record sheet for the vehicle,
whether for claimed premiums (insurance company), police investigation, personal, or company records shall I say the "blackbox" of the vehicle they will just download through a server on the internet.

    - For public used (just like I've posted above based on patok jeeps) it will eliminate the so called "colorum", operators will be updated on their vehicles activities thorugh the used of SMS and Internet stuff like.

    - For private used it will communicate with so called "smart condos and appliances" through the internet.

    ==========
    Standards:

    - Based on platform technology.

    - Controlled by a computer software (open source software and its operating system also so it can be tweaked by enthusiast, and programmers alike) from the engines to the transmission of the vehicle (sa dinami daming gumagrad na compsci, i.t., or comeng sa pilipinas ewan ko na lang).

    - Led based tailights "more light less heat".

    - Front engine, rear wheel drive.

    - Magnesuim wheels.

    - Aluminum or PET plastic based bodies are an option to the customer.

    ==========
    Going green :

    - Biodiesel compliant: Veggie, Jatropha and Coconut diesel.
    - Organic lubricants and motor oil: Castor oil plant based "tangan-tangan".

    Hope you like it

    I like that one:

Very functional design, and the added roof hoop should give it more stiffness no matter what material is used.

Might make maintenance a pain, though.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Foifoi05, your designs always make me smile. The clever use of raised roof rails on your Tinapay (as seen on the old Renault 16) eliminates the need for rain gutters. Try integrating the A-pillar to the roof rail like this:

Also the name "Tinapay" does not do justice to the concept. "Lego" is what comes to mind but then there would be trademark issues. How about "Bricks" or "Brix"?

Hmmm. And I was just about to suggest the name "Thalia Trak" for the Tsikot PHUV in honor of the actress.

Among the members of the profit oriented oligopoly CAMPI, Toyota it seems is the most practical and sensible. If they will help our auto industry (by bringing in their suppliers and expand local assembly operations), it will have a ripple effect on our economy-bringing jobs and income--consequently, they might be able to increase their sales. As, for the rest of CAMPI, there days are numbered especially with their ultra high prices (units and spareparts)and no linkage with the local economy.
In the future, Toyota spareparts (aside from that of the MVPMAP) can be used to produce the Tsikot PHUV. I think A Tsikot PHUV running with Toyota and MVPMAP parts is a viable project in the future.

Toyota Phils sets aside P2B for new models
    By Ma. Elisa P. Osorio
Monday, August 6, 2007 Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will spend at least P2 billion next year for new models, a move expected to solidify TMP’s position as the biggest car company in the country.
“Next year (we will be spending), P2 billion easily. We will be launching some new exciting models towards the middle of 2008,” Alfred V. Ty, TMP vice chairman told reporters.
According to Ty, the line-up would include both model modifications and completely new models. The models are a combination of locally assembled vehicles and imported fully-built vehicles.
This year, combined investments of Toyota in the country amounted to P6 billion. TMP put in P1 billion for the plant that will manufacture locally distributed Vios.
Meanwhile, its affiliate Toyota Auto Parts Inc. (TAPI) invested P5 billion to produce transmission lines for the group’s vehicles under the international innovative multipurpose vehicle (IMV) line.
This includes Innova, the sports utility vehicle Fortuner and the pick-up Hi-lux.
The transmission would also be exported to countries that are also producing the IMV vehicles.
In its almost 20 years presence in the country, Toyota has invested a total of P20 billion. Toyota will be celebrating two decades of operations in the Philippines next year.
“We plan to continuously grow the business. There are advantages of local assembly instead of merely importing CBUs but Toyota is maybe one of the few, who are of that mindset,” Ty underscored.
“We want to increase the volumes of our existing CKDs (completely knocked down) to sustain our plant operations,” he added.
CKDs, which require local assembly, would mean more investments, generate more jobs and would require more local parts and components.
In line with this, Ty appealed to the government to create policies that would entice more manufacturers to come in. Manufacturing is preferred over importation because it would spur more economic activity.
For his part, TMP senior vice president Santos Guerrero said Toyota will increase completely knocked down (CKD) units sales by 9,000 to 10,000 next year as the demand for the new Vios is expected to peak. Sales is expected to move to 25,000 with Vios making up 50 percent of the sales.
Last year, CKD sales accounted for 38 percent of Toyota’s business in the Philippines.
Of the 11 Toyota models sold locally, only Innova, Vios and the passenger car Altis are CKDs, the rest are CBUs.

Roof Hoop: or whatever that thing is... the extended A-pillar in front of the doors. It should transmit impact force from the front of the vehicle to the rest of the structure very well.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

thanks sir, actually yan po yung gusto ko palabasin pero mejo tamad lang ako mag model. hehe
I just quickly played with chamfered boxes then used the wheels of a 3d model crv (see group shot below).

regarding the "tinapay" name..... well i guess chamfered boxes looked like tasty bread to me.... but of course "tinapay" is just a working title, we could use names posted from the phuv name thread.

stacked them all together in different shapes, colors and sizes to form a vehicle

Maganda yung image na ginawa ni kasmot.... kaya lang baka pag build na nito cheap ang dating tulad ng last PhuV na pag tingin mo sa interior ay naku.... walang dating.... the dashboard, strap door stopper, over all interior yak..... 1% lang cguro ang bibili o baka minus pa........ Dapat sana with quality like other car builders....

    HI Foifoi,

Ang galing mong gumamit ng 3D ah... you have potential!

OK lang ba kung bigyan ko ng konting creative comment yung tinapay mo?

I hope you don't mind ha... anyway, here it goes:

Yung over-all theme mo is actually nice specially for toys... kaso, yung mga valleys sa shoulders ng mga singit ng fenders, gutters and the rest of the vehicle itself a corrosion depot.

Water traps ang mga ito and mas mabilis kalawangin ang sasakyan dito sa mga areas na ito. It is also difficult to clean it without a hi-pressure Air Jet.

Suggestion: fill up all the valleys and remove all the water traps... instead, convert it into water guides...

What 3D software are you using? maganda ang presentation.
