Hello,
This is a very interesting thread. Here are some of my drawings for a PHUV.
More PHUV drawings:
H-3 is a small car with simple panels for easier fabrication. It has a high ground clearance to be able to pass through flooded areas and rough provincial roads. Its style is reminiscent of the Citroen 2CV.
H-5 is an AUV with conventional styling.
H-7 is a wedge shaped AUV.
ok let me explain....
H3 is a licenced name of the hummer 3. using it might put you in trouble. FYI this thread, or probably the whole forum, is being monitored by the big car companies(we call them.... the big boys).
dprox told me to read your rights...the miranda way...and it goes a little bit something like this...hit:
That in the auto industry, "anything you post can be used (by bigboys and unscrupulous parties) against you (and the Filipino People)."
just to be safe.
My suggestion - why don't we just do an "open source" concept instead (ala linux)....whatever we put in this public forum...we declare it free for everyone to use and make money with....so don't have to think about what the big boys think....anyway at the end of the day it would be very difficult to "kill" any of the big boys in this industry (just like linux trying to kill microsoft).
we can always put a dent in their industry hold but not kill.
my point is, we can always bring down the cost of this PhUV and any abled businessman can make it (like the jeep and tricycle industry that we have now). Kailangan nga lang competitively made (engineered and designed) ang mga PhUV.
do we gain money for it...may be yes and may be not....depende na lang kung we become a manufacturer of our own designs and market it.
just my 2 cents.
there is already a open source car project. it has already started.
try to search open source car project, maybe we can contribute inputs as well borrow ideas
You are absolutely right, wild. we cannot compete with the big boys. i am just making sure that don knows about the consequences of posting his design. baka manghinayang siya if a car manufacturer ...like the iloilo jeepney builders, use his design and make lots of money with it. sayang diba.
ako..for each design i post...i already have something better ongoing. If somebody uses it, dated na. pero sayang din if they gained something out of it. Pero kung wala silang follow-up design, e di hanggang dun lang sila. panalo pa rin yung orig.
just my opinion...i would be happy to see a design "stolen" from me if the design really makes it to the real world than keep the design with me up to my death....without it helping anyone at all.
sayang ang talent na hindi nailabas o nagamit.
now kung pera naman ang pina-uusapan....that is a different situation....
in my opinion, the PhUV project will only be classified successful if it goes into actual production, sold and be loved by the Pinoys (to the very least).
In fact, I would rather think about how am I going to market PhUV...because if design is never really an issue - from the very first post dito sa thread na ito ang daming magaganda na pedeng maging realistic PhUV.
Ang kaso, how can you produce it into a realistic vehicle and if you do produce it, how can it be sold like hot cake in our own country?
the revo, adventure and hilanders are all a way of the big players to kill what we pinoys already started - out own jeepneys.
before they came out with the AUVs...they produced the tamaraw, fiera, harabas. Hindi kasing successful kasi ang dating para lang jeepney din.
pero nung naging mukhang maliit na SUV yung mga AUVs...hot cake ang bentahan....and obviously, na sideline na ang jeepney production.
I'd say it was both design ang marketing campaign of the big boys that killed the jeepney industry... kung nuon pa nag-evolve ang jeepney industry...baka hindi na naging successful and modern day AUVs.
Akala ko pumatay sa jeep/auv makers natin ay ang subic imported surplus?
mostly mga Ofw ngayon di na nagpapagawa ng owner or auv, bumibili na lang sila ng hyundai grace, o delica, o minsan pa nga bighorn
