yeah yeah yeah
the likes of me
rant rant rant
always looking for something in the past to blame
Marcos, etc etc
stop dwelling in the past
stop focusing on what the Phils. COULD HAVE BEEN
the chance for the Phils. to become an Asian industrial power has come and gone
the Phils. screwed up its chance decades ago
the role of the Phils. in the world is now clearly defined
we are a manpower agency
we are a provider of labor
that's it
like that planet in Star Wars where they mass produce soldiers
we mass produce nurses, caregivers, seamen, call center agents etc
we won't be mass producing cars or airplanes for the world
get over it
that role is already filled by other countries
every country has its own role in the world
that's the role of the Philippines
you can fight it all you want
you can build ONE 100% pinoy car and declare victory
but in the bigger scheme of things, it's just a drop of water in the ocean
thanks for proving that your an ass and my point!
Our heroes didnt die for this! Read, learn and understand our history! When a japanese frigate visited our country during the time of bonifacio, he asked for the help of japan against the spain, the japanese commodore on board though receptive declined to help us... Then and there bonifacio said the best help is self help!
Baka nanay tatay mo tagahugas ng pwet ng aso ng kano, thinking our country is an manning agency umalis ka ng bansa at huwag ka ng bumalik!
This is true actually. Bonifacio failed to get military support from this Japanese ship. Anyway, the rest is history. We got the firepower and actually defeated Spain when Aguinaldo et al used the money paid to them by the Spaniards when they were exiled in Hongkong.
Well, we should stop dwelling in the past. Its time to move on and we should do things right this time, who knows, we might get momentum and bring back the glory of the Philippines...![]()
If there is local company that can produce quality PHUV, LCV, Truck and AUV bodies, Centro Manufacturing, Inc. is the one.Local truck body manufacturer Centro Manufacturing Corp. is expanding its operations despite the recession.
The company just announced the arrival of new state-of-the-art hydraulic press brake and shearing machines signaling the start of its major modernization program.
These new stamping equipments are also expected to improve the quality of the metal parts; increase the output and productivity of the stamping plant and; consequently, increase the daily production output of Centro’s two plants in Novaliches and Maguyam, Cavite.

thanks for the history lesson
why don't you build yourself a time machine and transport yourself into the past and live there
hahaha
listen to yourself
"Our heroes didnt die for this!"
you are a classic case of someone still undergoing the 5 stages of grief (Kübler-Ross model)
denial --> anger --> bargaining --> depression --> acceptance
you're somewhere between denial and anger
you're in denial of the true state of the country
at the same time you're angry (well you sound angry)
still dwelling in the past
still dwelling in the glory days of the country
the Philippines lost the race
we had our chance to become great decades ago
we blew it
the Phils. is now a manpower agency
am i wrong?
or are you in denial?
i'm just "thinking" the Phils. is a manpower agency?
it's not something i think up
it's reality
no matter how much history you study, no matter how detailed your knowledge is about the history of this country, even if you know what Jose Rizal had for breakfast every single day of his life, it won't change the present
what you become is a good Philippine historian
that's it
you can fight reality all you want
go create your 100% pinoy engine, your 100% pinoy car
when the Philippines begins exporting 100% pinoy cars with 100% pinoy engines...
when the Philippines reduces the number of people exported and increases the number of finished goods exported...
when the Pinoy masses do not have to work abroad to get themselves out of poverty...
then i'd be glad to make bawi what is said about the Philippines being a manpower agency
but in the meantime... and for many years to come... the Philippines IS and WILL BE a manpower agency

ULS hahahahahah
bobo, all you can show for is your foregin style thinking, aso ka lang ng kano ginamit mo pa yung german way of thinking ni bismarck hahahaha in the end bismark got kick out of germany bobo(bismark is a supremacist ass hole who looked down upon asians).
pinag aaralan history so we could learn from the past and do good.
ULS by the likes of you, a good filipino would have a hard time moving forward.
fyi- an engine that uses water converted to hydrogen has already been invented by a filipino, bibigyan na sana siya ng pera ni marcos kaso sa mga pilipino na tulad mo na kaibigan ni marcos na franchiser ng ford ay pinigil siya plus yung mga arabo.
in the ended nabaneta sa taiwan for the price of one million u.s. dollars
hindi pera or materials problema natin
problema natin mga katulad mo ULS na humihila sa mga gusto umunlad
at mga tao na gusto lang kumita at tumubo na parang lugaw!
haha
whatever dude
your diatribe won't change anything
the country is a manpower agency
and will be a manpower agency for many more years
kahit ayaw ko i have to agree with uls.. hehe
kilala nga ang pinas for its laborers..
fyi... evo... our national hero is mostly chinese..
the chinese has done alot for the philippines.. providing jobs and improving economy..
I have to debunk your notion about this. Pinoy 'urban legend' lang ito. The guy who invented this has been exposed as a fraud. Too bad, sana nga this so called water engine was plausible.fyi- an engine that uses water converted to hydrogen has already been invented by a filipino, bibigyan na sana siya ng pera ni marcos kaso sa mga pilipino na tulad mo na kaibigan ni marcos na franchiser ng ford ay pinigil siya plus yung mga arabo
FYI, Daniel Dingel (the so-called inventor of the water fueled car in the Philippines) has been exposed as a fraud and scam artist.

I agree we need patriots to make this once Glorious country rise again and hopefully to make our children proud of us.
It is reall a sad fact that we are the Worl'd best producer of Super Maids, Super Nanny's and the best Labor the world can buy for their money. Evident with the word - OFW, OCW... Can anyone see an airport having an OFW Lane inside?... My Goodness.
Where have I encountered this information... that during World War 2 or before it erupted, a Propaganda was circulating all over Japan - that they will make Philippines a Slave Country. To do it, they need to bombard or esrase our heritage in history and make us stop using our imagination... thereby causing us to lose our vision of the future - making us an ideal pool of slaves.
When I did a research about Automotive Manufacturing in the Philippines in 1989... I was shocked to find out that - we don't have an existing industrial design industry that time - a missing link - vital for any industrial revolution to take place. Connecting it with history and current events... Sad to say - ULS is merely stating a harsh fact of reality - and it does have a sting.
It's not really meant to put us positivists down or discouraged... I would consider it reality check. There are only two things to do about it - maybe more. But what clearly goes into mind - are pretend that it's not true and be proud of Manny Pacquiao - being happy he is becoming more mega rich and hopefully more Pinoys emulate him and become more proud to be Pinoys?... or Do something really drastic like Start a Revolution.
A Revolution of Ideas - Culture and Attitude or Values.
I have started a revolution in my own little way - for myself anyway. After 1997 - I stopped buying a new car. As a matter of fact - I stopped buying a car for myself. I also stopped buying Clothes that are imported...come to think of it, I can't recall when was the last time I did.
Nowadays, I try as hard as I can not to buy any fossil fuel.... well, I have stopped buying foreign made oil already for more than a year now... Gasoline - I am still buying - but I try to buy only the cheapest so the Foreign Oil companies would make little profit margin from me as an individual. I would like to stop buying Gasoline if I can help it... hmmmm, maybe someday.
A Drastic action would also call for a push to make this country excell with industrial design or technology development - which is - where most Pinoys are good at. We dont have to necessarily manufacture them - China will still be the best source to produce the products, this is now their domain.
We cannot excell on something we don't have any control to... like Raw Materials and Equipments as well as Cheap Labor... but we have a highly skilled manpower pool... not to mention - pool of really smart and intellectual Pinoys.
Design, Drawings, Ideas - Concepts - this is our strong point - I believe - but we also export most of our Industrial Designers... Dondy is one, maybe more working outside - building other countries - except ours.
The Children of this Generation are starting to become pregnant at age 13! Why? - simply because their mother are taking care of other peoples children in HK and other countries.
How can a country become strong when the basic fiber of society is systematically destroyed?... it's a vicious cycle.
I dont recall where I heard this but it has something to do about the old Africa where more slaves are being proud of their warriors or heroes, this gives them a sort of attention they are seeking in order to hide their insecurity as a poor problematic nation. It is also evident in their colorful and loud graphic art works painted on their works as well as to their music or noise - a trait shared by Pinoys which is manifested on our Tricycles, Jeeps and Cityscape.
Why is every young adult wanting to be a Nurse or a Caregiver nowadays? - that's the question.
First - there is a big demand for such abroad.
Second - the pay is big, at least bigger than what can be earned locally.
Third - retraining (for caregiver) takes a short period and requires less actual on-the-job experience than over skill oriented jobs currently also in demand.
Fourth - not enough high paying honest local jobs that doesn't work one to death and/or involves long weird hours.
Fifth - dreams of quickly uplifting oneself & family from the current low status/standards of living.
Sixth - local jobs (when available) will only pay enough for your daily living. Not enough gets saved for future needs nor for personal growth. What else if you are supporting a family?
Just reflecting out loud here..
Maybe we can share this old song to put more boost with positive thinkers.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxuKZSI6Pd8"]YouTube- Frank Sinatra High Hopes[/ame]
Just what makes that little old ant - think he'll move that rubber tree plant? Anyone knows that ant can't move that rubber tree plant.
But he's got High hopes. :-)

I remembered one priest in his sermon - saying that the last thing you should take away form people is HOPE.
Keep them hoping for the Best while expecting the Worse.
Enthusiasm is another thing - with Hope in tact, nothing Gets done without enthusiasm (as per Confucius).
But of course Enthusiasm requires some internal motivational factors to keep the fires burning in their eyes and bellies.
If this is kept up, the only remaining element to really make things going is IMAGINATION (as per Einstein).
With the 3 elements at hand, Venture Capital will always be nearby.
But of course, any plan should be bounded by time tables, available raw material sources, resources, usable assets, working capital if any...
But of course, the best investor for any project will always be no other than the very authors of the concept or idea. Simply because he will not put a pressure upon himself to meet deadlines (which can destroy creativity), since he can only put time and money and materials on the project as they are available.
During the lull times, he can spend it on other money making (profit generating) activities which are - should be- project- concept related - so he doesn't lose the enthusiasm.
The danger in putting time on non-related business to fund a hobby project will - one way or another - take away the enthusiasm/ passion on the idea.
Going back to OFW's....
The Hopeful OFW - will have a higher probability of really diving into the project is he or she is working in a job which is somewhat related or in any way be a source of ideas that can become contributory to his passion-hobby-project.
In building a prototype, the best people to really touch it would be - those who are also bought into the idea or the concept.
The Passion will just automatically come out.
Of course, all business sense suggest we cannot become like a China or Japan or even India in terms of becoming an Automotive Industrial country... But we can always - easily become similar to a Coventry England, or even a St. Agatha of Italy... if not an East German town building Trabants with outsourced engines from china maybe.
The point is... somebody or something should point the Pinoy - to the right track or direction so they can do something within their controls and not try to bite off more than they can chew.
We heard this very often before.... Concentrating on your strengths.... Use your weaknesses or downside as an advantage. Capitalize on strengths and see to it that they don't become the liability.
