Thanks Varga... thanks everyone.
Dondi - you're right!... culture is the summation of a country's conciousness.
I wonder how we ever came to have this type of culture?... I for one, really hate the Jeepney... I never wanted to ride one, drive one nor even own one.
Imagine... it's already intended to load more than it should... then so much unnecessary abubuts are attached to it like excess baggages. Ang Bigat tingnan... and I'm sure... mabigat talaga dalhin for the jeepneys power train. Can you imagine where the fuel goes with this excess weight that it carries around unnecessarily whether it is loaded by commuters or not?... (and they talk about clean air act.)
It's clearly money being burned in vain!... (another Pinoy trait!)
Talk about priorities:
He will excell in things or ways no logical thinking individual dare not go!... and that is by being vain.
It's not art... nothing to do with art at all! no way jose!.
Pintor Kulapol.
When I was still an apprentice in oil painting at the age of 7... my Art teacher would call these Movie Bill Board Artists as Pintor Kulapols.. I really dont know what the word means... but I guess this is what is proliferating in our mainstream industry, artworld and even media.
So I guess... if the mainstream is a product of it's environment... I guess I can only blame Tito, Vic and Joey and Willy. I never enjoyed watching these noon time shows. What does majority of Pinoys find in these subliminally degenerative influences so good? What good does it do when your mind is constantly bombarded with talks and music with double meanings and suggestive messages and or lymirics?... Ex. "Itaktak mo... at Bubuka ang bulaklak at dadaan ang Reyna.."... My Gosh... and they are actually making money with these stupid songs! don't tell me.. it's the peoples opium to fight poverty. Mama Mia! No wonder... our Jeepneys look Ugly.
ok... time to be diplomatic.
I am only exagerating my figures of speeches in order to emphasize my point. I just hope that the real Pinoy art would become hi-lighted in the near future. And I believe we are not copycats and not cheap looking... just undiscovered... and exploited by the world except our own.
Dondi, Lio... umuwi na kayo!... let's start building our country. The time to reinvent our country is now. (Parang ang daling sabihin ano...

)
There's a lot of work to be done... but that's normal... Meron bang madaling trabaho? Kahit maglinis lang ng banyo o maghugas ng pinggan mahirap na rin. It's just a matter of where we are going to course our efforts.
Life is too short to be enriching another man's company. We can't blame ourselves for this... but we must set our selves free and reclaim our own time... We need to be the masters of our own time.
What the country needs from our overseas Global Pinoys is their time... your money is no use. Bakit?... eh kasi... it will be remitted here... tapos, your family will spend it... it will circulate around... and systematically it will go into the pockets of Meralco, Globe, Smart, San Miguel Corp., Malacanang, Sta. Lucia Realties, Empire East Properties, BA Financing, SM, Banco De Oro, Congress, Senate, and then eventually to the Big Corporations that control our lives. (OPEC, GM, Toyota, Isuzu, ARAMCO, EXXON, etc.)
ok... getting carried away in my emphasizing ulit.
hehehe... anyway... siguro I am just venting out my frustrations right now... or maybe overworked... pag pasensyahan niyo na lang po.
JPDM.... here's your que. Mabuhay ang Pinoy!
