Bigyan pa sila natin ng konting panahon. Baka after a year, maglabas sila ng mas "refined" model ng PhUV.

Pero at P350K - P400K/ unit?

I don't want to be crabby but the PhUV is not much different from the Francisco Motors' old Anfra series.

And the Anfra had the Mazda engine.

first of all, I would also like to congratulate MVPMAP for making the PHUV a reality. This will surely open the door wider for other players/manufacturers to try to create some more PHUV.

now for my comment on the product.
I really think that there was really no new idea included in the product. I agree that better looking locally assembled UV is already existing. Parang ung mga nabibiling body sa cavite ay minasilyahan lang and then put on a nice paint....
but I think that this is a little bit tolerable since first issue pa lang. I just hope that they will listen to the feedback of the people and use these to improve the next edition of PHUV...

hope also that some tsikoteer can test drive the unit and post their feedbacks here

Errr... at first glance it looked good (maybe it was because of the paint job and the floating roof effect) but just a split second after my brain started to process it right.

    My comments

+ The bumper & tail lamps looks good.
+ The smallish window theme looks promising

    - The fender flares should be deleted. It just screams SUV wannabe.
    - The rear windows do not match the height of the other windows. WTF?!
    - Delete the spare tire in the back for goodness sake!
    - The front grille looks unsightly and doesn't belong to the overall theme.
    - It is too long. From the looks of it, there's a lot of wasted space in the bumper area and the rear overhang could be still shorter.
    - What's with the uneven roof? That is so old school.

Overall, the designers should come out with a more refined vehicle. I believe that they took inspiration from the Nissan Cube and taking from there they could've approached the said project with a minimalist approach. Less burloloy and more functionality.

    Common guys, it's just a PROTOTYPE! Don't you understand what's a prototype?

Give it time! The Japanese, Americans and the Koreans did not build their automotive industry overnight...they did it brick by brick over a long period of time.

This is a good start already and let's be proud of it!

To be honest baka bumenta pa to kung gagawin nilang 275-300K ang presyo nito..

This is a prototype, right? So the hearsay that will sell at 350k to 400k is not true then.

Congratulations to MVPMAP for their debut car design! I will drive one if I get the chance, somebody just need to buy for me, hehehe

That is why they need all the feedback (positive or negative) that they need. They don't have a deep budget to build 500 prototypes like Porsche did for the 996.

They need to listen more to negative feedbacks IMO. Being complacent that their first prototype is "good enough" will not cut it out in the new automotive industry. P300-400K is asking already for a lot of money considering that you can buy a good second hand vehicle for that sum of money.

    It's here...

Front and the rear of the vehicle looks ok. But its ok.

Interior - Ok naman leg at head room, Dashboard... hmmm need to improve but still not bad kung local made, if I own one bibili ako leather sheet at babalutan ko yung dashboad (mura leather sheet sa Marikina) para mas ok kalalabasan.

    Side mirror... hmmm. no comment.

I think MVPMAP tried to maximize the use of local parts kaya mejo limited ang features ng vehicle. Tama po ba?

Atleast someone started and we all hope na may EO nang lumabas from GMA para mapababa pa yung price ng vehicle.

hmmm... How bout FMC? Maglalabas din ba sila ng prototype nila? They have enough experience in manufacturing AUV right? Like the old jeepney and Anfra.

Abang abang tau kung eto magiging next FX ng Metro Manila na trying to overthrow the King of the Road Jeepney.

Ano kaya kung yung next model nila mag open sila ng vehicle deisgn contest? Tapos dapat naka layout sa 3D studio max para kahit design palang you'll get the feel of the car (in 3d view).

Syempre dapat yung design realistic, base on 350K na price not those design with 22inch mags at low profile na gulong hehehe!

Anyway, its good that somepeople took the initiative to come up with a project like this. But still, I dont think much thought has been put in this vehicle. Since the MVPMAP group is a conglomeration of different groups, this is probably where the problem lies. I think they should just establish one company who would call all the shots.

By the way, fiber glass ba yung body nito or sheet metal talaga. Ang fear ko lang dito is since they made use of a chinese engine, baka pag mag flop itong vehicle na ito after a few years mawala na yung support/spare parts nito.

How about the QA of these vehicle? Pano kaya nila pinaplano ang pag QA dito with regards to safety standards?

    the interior is horrible...

the dash is horrible. they should have hired someone to do the dash. the steering column is horrible. the pedals? well it reminds me of the one used during the 1980s.
