Those trycycle produces lots of smoke due to the engine 2 stroke motorcycle . If the motorcycle due to engine overhaul they add more 2T oil mixture on the gasoline on the tank to have more lubrication to prolong the use but produces lots of smoke .
Un registered, motorized 3-Wheel contraption. The new King-of-the-Road. They are are now everywhere in Metro Manila streets.

It's good that poorly maintained 2-stroke tricycles are starting to disappear. Too bad crappy tricycle drivers won't.
It is just bad for us motorists that in Manila, the new replacements for all those junked tricycles are now motorized pedicabs that doesn't have proper equipment.

No proper headlights, brakelights, no suspension, not even proper brakes in some instances. Just a water pump engine driving the rear wheel via chain or belt drive.
These careen through the main roads in Manila with little regard to safety. They aren't even licensed/registered. I doubt if the "driver" even have a motoring license.
Ive seen a lot in Divisoria market which transport vegetables product and cruising along Roxas Boulevard early or nightime and overloaded and passenger on top of the pedicab and the reckless driver looks like he ride on a sportcar .
As far as I know, since those contraptions aren't classified as motor vehicles, a license is not required to operate them. That only worsens what's already bad.

The one on the right has an air-cooled VW engine that is turned around 180 degrees and with the cooling fan and fan housing removed. The cylinders' cooling fins are exposed, just like a motorcycle.
I like to have a locally made three-wheeler with a VW engine (driving the front wheels) and an enclosed body.

Correct. But the LTO is too busy thinking whether they should track each and every vehicle with their RFID thingamajig. Talk about mis-prioritizing.
The silver car has a VW engine. With a Beetle transmission.

Ehnriko, I'm sure you can design a better looking body for this three-wheeler.
I actually like the body style of the Blackjack. I have several articles on the car saved somewhere.
Ingenious work they did with the Beetle gearbox adapting it to run backwards...![]()

yeah but if you look closely into the design that donbuggy posted, it doesn't realistically consider items like human seating space for two, an engine, transmission and suspension geometry into the design.
Just pointing out the errors. It does take at least one project done to completion to show how hard to allocate space for human occupants as well as mechanicals.
GH is correct. It's not realistic. But all car designs begin with a 2D concept drawing.
