the air contains moisture at once nagcontact ito sa evap ng auto e nagcocondense ito. freezing point ng tubig is at 0 deg celsius kaya dapat di umabot sa ganitong temp yung evap kundi magaccumulate ang frost sa evap at mag-act na ito as insulator. lesser cooling na mangyayari.

the pressure reading sa low side ng A/C is at the neighborhood of 30 psi, magkalapit lang for R12 & R134 (with a corresponding saturation temp of just above zero deg celsius)

Evaporator temp is around -5deg celsius or lower. It will freeze if condensate is trapped usually by dirt or not enough air can pass due to clogged cabin filter. air at vent should be at 10deg celsius or lower to have that 20 to 25 deg celsius real feel

So it would be a wiring problem rather than fan problem.

Loose connection. malamang madumi ang terminal.

Same issue. Mitsubishi Strada L200 4x4 MT (1999).

Need ko ba palitan yung evaporator, condenser at upgrade yung blower? May nagsabi rin na pag OEM, hahayaan na lang but it seems older models’ air conditioners doesn’t work the same as modern models (for example, Innova 2016 and Hilux 2017 in my experience, kahit idle o nainitan, lumalamig parin).

    weak ac on idle?

thats an almost 20yo vehicle. of course it cant compare with a new vehicle.

dont start replacing parts without consulting some good ac shops..

Check the fanbelt, baka kulang sa tension or palitin na.

bring it to the aircon shop, and have it seen by someone who knows the business. heh heh..
guessing at what should be replaced, can be an expensive, and sometimes, useless, proposition.
    good luck, po.
